Stirratt, Jay Bennett and Ken Coomer formed Courtesy Move, an early Wilco side project that recorded an album in late 1996 that was never released. I'm going to have to read the book again. I don't remember it being an issue. Tweedy was doing Golden Smog in 1995.

Right. This would be the place on VC to do it. I get that it is a conversation happening on the cable tv stations and elsewhere in the country as well. I wish that conversation didn't take away from the discussion that should be happening on health care, human rights, the middle east and other topics. People seem to enjoy the contest aspect of politics a lot more than actually tackling the issues.

Reason: Lose artistic credibility. Comes off as arrogant. Opens up a range of questions about the reason behind there actions: artist decision? business decision etc.

Why did Wilco participate in this article? They want us to understand how smart they are? How rich they are? Forget how lackluster WTA was?
