  1. Thought I'd share this news I just saw: Thursday, August 8, 2013Jeff Parker-Nels Cline Quartet : The Turning Point 6:30 pm Made in Chicago: World Class Jazz series Millennium Park, Jay Pritzker Pavilion http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2013-04-02/entertainment/chi-jazz-millennium-park-20130402_1_chicago-jazz-festival-millennium-park-dee-alexander
  2. Dawes then Sharon Van Etten / Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds Promises to be a good night.
  3. Still looking like Sho 'Nuff 1998 tour to me. 35 songs including 7 covers over 5 shows w/ an average song count of 18 songs. I think I'm going to scale back to one show instead of two.
  4. Looks like it. Nice work finding that! Up to 5 gigs in June now...
  5. I gave them two shows! I do hope they keep switching it up. I know two shows doesn't tell the whole story, but I think we'll have a good idea after week 1 where this is going.
  6. I enjoyed his take on ticket pricing. Thanks for posting.
  7. show 2 setlist very similar. greatest hits. I love the hits, but I'm surprised they are going this route.Reminds me of the era when Audley replaced Marc. Those setlists didn't change much from show to show...
  8. I was there and thought the show started out so strong - as in, one of the best I've seen ever (26th solo show). The momentum was lost after Long Cut. There were some great covers and memorable moments/banter after that, but I really didn't think the show ever recovered. What is the guitar tech doing if not tuning the guitars? That seemed to take up a lot of time (as mentioned above) - although did inspire one of the more hilarious audience shout outs I've heard at a show (Something to the effect of "That's it!" as Jeff was tuning and was getting close). To each his/her own, but really surpris
  9. Lots of religious songs that would work great tonight. Wonder if the requestors are up for it. Theoologans would be awesome. The Pope by Prince would be funny. And then on the fringe of being appropriate for today: Satan your Kingdom..., Ruling Class, Jesus Etc, You and I...
  10. Low sounded really good at the event. They played 6-7 songs. Really good. After a break, XRT dj Marty interviewed the band and Jeff and then opened up to audience questions. Most of the comments were along the same lines we've already read/heard Jeff and Low make. One comment Jeff made that sticks in my head is that he feels prouder of this project than any other he's been a part of. Thought that was interesting and would have liked to be able to ask a follow-up..."even Wilco?"
  11. Great, fun show. They played everything I wanted to hear. Dave is great. The new guitar player didn't do much for me personality wise, but his playing was good. I can check "See a band play 'We Are The World'" off my list.
  12. Soul Asylum (90% sure I'm going). Never seen them. Not sure what to expect...
  13. I wouldn't be surprised if they add shows. Logistics of moving gear around half the country for three shows doesn't make great sense even though these festivals are probably big pay days. I could see them playing shows between the OH and TN dates. Wilcoworld indicates that the band is playing opening night of 'roo.
  14. Lineup looks great to me. Wilco is up to 4 shows in June. Think they will tour most of the month? Hope so...
  15. Lennon/ McCartney did not work together creating new music for that long if you look at their discography: 1963-1969. Tweedy/Bennett were 1994-2001. Pretty similar length before it stopped working.
  16. I miss Jay too. Got to see him play with the band 3-4 times. I do find it interesting that that movie makes you miss him though. Didn't think he was presented in the best light.
  17. Not a fan of this method of announcing the bands. There, I said it. Kick me out of this forum if need be.
  18. wilcobase indicates it was only played during the tour at Lincoln Hall.
  19. Noticed that Thursday's show is sold out. Still $75 tickets for Wednesday. Thought I'd post the heads up for those on the fence...
  20. I know somebody in particular on this board will love this....there is schnapps talk!
  21. Now I understand why ticket prices have gone up! Holy cow.
  22. There is a walmart in n adams and you were there in 2010! 830 Curran Hwy North Adams, MA 01247830
  23. Very surprised to see them doing this VIP bs...
