well, the Christmas song happened. Thank god for the FF button on dvrs. Would have liked to see him do a different song with Dave, Kris and Pat than the same song they did at 12-12-12, but understand it would be hard to find time to rehearse everything. Martin Short was a pretty great host.

First off, Is Bono ok??? Plenty of folks to play this in the future. The old fogies will be Bon Jovi and Pearl Jam + Metallica and Dave Matthews. Slightly younger generation will have Kanye, Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, Black Keys, Green Day, Taylor Swift and many of the DJs that everybody loves right now. Sure – rock n’ roll is dying, but pop (ular) music is not.

Prince has played 17 shows this year: 2 in Oct at LA clubs 3 in Chicago at the big arena (I live in CHI and the first show was reported by many many people to be terrible, but the others to be great) 12 shows in Australia I agree - not sure why he is on this list

would be cool to see Jeff join the 12-12-12 concert too. Maybe he's not a big enough name for that though??

The Tweedy Colbert episode airs Thursday. The press release has conflicting info.

I ended up forking over $45/ticket (third pricing tier - tiers were 75/60/45/30 before fees) to see the show from the Chicago Theater in the balcony. I'm excited. Sharon Van Etten will be an excellent opening act I think. Now, just need to wait 5 months for the show.

Just saw that Nick & Bad Seeds are putting out a new album in February. Also touring in March/April. I've never seen NC with or without the B.S. Do they put on a good show? I was surprised to see that tickets are either $90 or $45 when they play Chicago (even though they have a great opening act in Sharon Van Etten).

I didn't go last year, but in all other years nobody was shut out during the Tweedy performance. Getting there at doors opening time has always gotten everybody in as far as I know. I will say that the lineup looks better than ever this year though so maybe that will change things. Jeff is also playing a bit later than the last few years if my memory is correct.

I've read the same thing. To me, that is just a polite way of saying that Keith's playing isn't very good. Check out Honky Tonk W from the first show in youtube. Yikes.

I'm not going, but I did enter the contest the other week. Just got an email today offering tickets with the convenience charges dropped which I thought was cool.

I had the same reaction to this in The Newsroom which ultimately turned me off from watching it. So far, the soap opera aspects of Homeland haven't gone too far for my taste. There are some good parts of it in Season 2.

I'm a big fan. I even think the current cast is solid. They have their good and bad weeks/sketches. Some recent favorites: Anything Fred Armison does Drunk uncle Bruno mars Pandora skit Merryville Brothers The previously mentioned pizza ad was great too I do already miss Kristen Wig.

Heard the Thanks I Get yesterday - a Thanksgiving themed show on a MI radio station as I was driving from Detroit area to Chicago. Weird hearing b sides on the radio.

I have no insight when the shows will be other than that there isn't a consistant time other than Feb - April. See prior show dates: March 30-31, 2012 April 15-16, 2011 March 12-13, 2010 February 13-14, 2009
