  3. Had a great time at the show Friday. What a treat to be able to go to one of the best venue’s in Chicago year after year to support Jeff’s cause and get a chance to hear anything in his catalog. This year, Friday was it for me (couldn’t justify going to both given my potential 2012 Wilco calendar). The highlights for me were hearing two the new songs solo acoustic for the first time: Art of Almost & Sunloathe. It is so cool how some of the more complicated songs get boiled down on an acoustic and Art of Almost fit that category. Sunloathe will be a real treat for audience when the band d
  4. The first of many summer shows to announce -- 2 nights at Red Rocks in Morrison, CO. June 22 w/ guests the Punch Brothers and June 23 with Dr. Dog. Tix on sale Friday, April 6 at 10am Mountain time. Next up: Chicagoland. July 8 at the Kane County Cougars ballpark in Geneva, IL -- a Chicago-centric bill featuring Wilco (of course), Andrew Bird and his band, plus The Congregation (an up & coming 8-piece soul band). It all ends with fireworks under the west suburban stars. Tickets on sale Saturday, April 7 at 10am Central time.
  5. well, based on facebook, I'd say they are playing in Geneva at the kane county cougar's stadium...
  6. Seems like Lolla would be the one to announce their line up. Maybe they are doing something cooler than doing Lolla for the 3rd time??
  7. XRT just tweeted that Jeff will be on their Monday morning show (w/ Lin Brehmer) and will have a major announcement.
  8. official facebook now has a picture of Red Rocks in CO...

  11. 21 Jul 2012 / Camden, NJ / Susquehanna Bank Center
  12. Had fun at the above last night. Recommend seeing them this tour if you can. Really laid back, but the musicianship is great. Tonight - Yukon Blonde!
  13. This may be a stretch, but "members of Wilco" were spotted at the Sunday Lincoln Hall Fiona Apple show in Chicago per Rolling Stone. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/fiona-apple-kicks-off-tour-with-manic-chicago-show-20120319
  14. I saw Johnny Lang open for Aerosmith in 1997. Aerosmith brought him out for Last Child. Brad could wear a tshirt with the phrase "schooling Johnny Lang since 1997" and get away with it. Thanks for the review - I've always been interested about this tour/project.
  15. Looks like another show added: Memphis, TN 5/19 Mud Island Amphitheatre
  16. "Nick Lowe and His Band" are playing the Park West April 20th and tickets go on sale this Saturday for those that have been waiting to see what venue he would play...
  17. Musicianship, special effects (mostly cheese factor undermining the music), setlist not flowing well. Wilco never bombs on those.
  18. This thread is a bummer. Too negative for me. I love Wilco shows and want them to continue to play what they want to/ think they should play. I haven't left disappointed with a Wilco show in a long time.
  19. I was at the show last night. DLR had some real technical issues. How related those were to his egomaniacal behavior and poor vocal performance I can't say, but I walked away from the concert knowing I had just seen the worst performance by an arena vocalist that I had ever seen (and I go to arena shows a lot). Still fun, but wow, just wow DLR. Greg cuts him too much slack in the review.
  20. Van Halen 2/24 Rich Robinson 3/9 (haven’t pulled the trigger on this one) Magnetic Fields 3/26 Yukon Blonde 3/27 Tweedy 3/30 Wild Flag 4/5 Wilco 5/11 Wilco 5/12 M Ward 5/22 Just got shut out of the Fiona Apple show.
  21. Van Halen/ Kool & The Gang tonight in Chicago @ The United Center. Was able to secure a very cheap ticket and now totally excited.
  22. Can't believe that most of the presales didn't sell out yesterday.
