It really can go both ways. Usually the crowd is encouraged to get on their feet midway through the main set by the band if they already aren't there. There is always a lot of talk on this board about standing vs sitting... Good news for Jackson: It is a Saturday night (people typically let loose a little more) and I have a ticket in the front row and will be standing (domino effect).

The lineup was announced in the last 24 hours. Any reactions? I'm not overly excited by RHCP headlining again, but there are some good acts. Would love to see Sabbath in this setting, Jack White could be great (amazing that he goes solo and gets headliner billing when the Raconteurs were on in the middle of the day when they played), Dawes, Tune yard, head/heart, Dr Dog (played before), Walkman (played before) but then I really don't know...

Had a great time at the show Friday. What a treat to be able to go to one of the best venue’s in Chicago year after year to support Jeff’s cause and get a chance to hear anything in his catalog. I saw Johnny Lang open for Aerosmith in 1997. Aerosmith brought him out for Last Child. Brad could wear a tshirt with the phrase "schooling Johnny Lang since 1997" and get away with it. Thanks for the review - I've always been interested about this tour/project.
