It really can go both ways. Usually the crowd is encouraged to get on their feet midway through the main set by the band if they already aren't there. There is always a lot of talk on this board about standing vs sitting... Good news for Jackson: It is a Saturday night (people typically let loose a little more) and I have a ticket in the front row and will be standing (domino effect).

I think that is a great idea. What a mess that letter is.

ha - seemed to good to be true, but I laughed when I saw on that web site: "FREE - YES FREE - REALLY" The Chris Robinson Brotherhood site says it is free too. Do you think Chris will sing Casino Queen with them like he did a few times in 1995?

The lineup was announced in the last 24 hours. Any reactions? I'm not overly excited by RHCP headlining again, but there are some good acts. Would love to see Sabbath in this setting, Jack White could be great (amazing that he goes solo and gets headliner billing when the Raconteurs were on in the middle of the day when they played), Dawes, Tune yard, head/heart, Dr Dog (played before), Walkman (played before) but then I really don't know...

From massmoca.org: This special evening will take place in MASS MoCA’s Hunter Center, an indoor venue which will have a capacity capped at 1000, in a general admission, standing room only configuration. The first 500 tickets will be sold to bidders who make the highest offers onlineover a two and a half day period which begins at 10AM on Friday, April 13, and runs through 10 AM on Monday, April 16. To maximize the chance of getting tickets – and also support MASS MoCA – bidders should make the highest offer they can. Those whose bids are not among the top 500 will still have a chance to sc

Duluth and Rochester are now posted as well. There are still gaps in the schedule. Even on the early part of this run, there are gaps between Red Rocks and ID and then between MT and MN. I also wonder why they are not showing the Hangout Festival on their site.

Had a great time at the show Friday. What a treat to be able to go to one of the best venue’s in Chicago year after year to support Jeff’s cause and get a chance to hear anything in his catalog. This year, Friday was it for me (couldn’t justify going to both given my potential 2012 Wilco calendar). The highlights for me were hearing two the new songs solo acoustic for the first time: Art of Almost & Sunloathe. It is so cool how some of the more complicated songs get boiled down on an acoustic and Art of Almost fit that category. Sunloathe will be a real treat for audience when the band d

Seems like Lolla would be the one to announce their line up. Maybe they are doing something cooler than doing Lolla for the 3rd time??

Had fun at the above last night. Recommend seeing them this tour if you can. Really laid back, but the musicianship is great. Tonight - Yukon Blonde!

This may be a stretch, but "members of Wilco" were spotted at the Sunday Lincoln Hall Fiona Apple show in Chicago per Rolling Stone. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/fiona-apple-kicks-off-tour-with-manic-chicago-show-20120319

I saw Johnny Lang open for Aerosmith in 1997. Aerosmith brought him out for Last Child. Brad could wear a tshirt with the phrase "schooling Johnny Lang since 1997" and get away with it. Thanks for the review - I've always been interested about this tour/project. -
Looks like another show added: Memphis, TN 5/19 Mud Island Amphitheatre
