The show last night was a lot of fun. I'm going to give a lot of that credit to the people who got there early and put their requests in with Sue. The setlist was wonderful. You picked the right amount of deep cuts, b sides and maybe most difficult for a diehard to request: hits!!! This was my 22nd Jeff Tweedy solo show and the shows without any hits aren't as fun as the ones where they are mixed in. Jeff did a great job of putting the songs in a great running order too. The crowd was nice. Quiet during the songs (too quiet on sing along parts?) and the right amount of obnoxious between

Red Eye (local paper) indicated today that Saturday is sold out although I'm still pulling up the $150 tickets. I'm expecting Jeff Tweedy to hit the stage shortly after 7:30 with no opening act.

That just went from awesome to terrible.

Glen is opening? As in Glenn Kotche?

I am going to see Drive By Truckers tomorrow afternoon for Studio X. Has anybody been to one of these shows before? Do they last long? Are they crowded? Edit: So I went. It was a great time. DBT played at Reggies which probably holds 100-200 people. It wasn't overly crowded. Shows started pretty promptly at 2:30. They played 5 songs with some awkward banter with Nicholas Tremulous in between a few songs. I don't know their songs well enough. Patterson sang 2 including a cover, Mike sang 2 and Shonna had one. They seemed into it which was cool considering they had a gig the night before and -

Yeah - I just feel like it was a great experience last year, but....been there, done that. I like how Phish moved theirs around.

Anybody else a little bummed that they aren't taking Solid Sound somewhere different in 2011?
-
Does he? He seems to explain meanings whenever asked as far as I can tell.

Leroy would make the same songs sound different every night - he'd constantly be doing something different. The new band plays the song the same way every night. It has been so long since the band with Leroy that I don't feel comfortable saying one live version was better than another, but it was always cool to see what Leroy would play during a song on any given night...

I was at that show. Standing about 2 ft from CR. Fun time.

Not to be a downer, but I'd bet $0. I believe they had a falling out post election. Wilco/ Jeff didn't do any inauguration events and there is no way Obama likes Wilco's music.

Minus 5 have opened.

The performance with Mavis was a bit slow. BUT the song with John and Stephen was awesome! -
He did seem excited about it. Did you watch the whole show? I found the first 30 minutes really hard to watch.

Thanks for posting. Good stuff. Small Jeff. Big stadium.

I thought it was a good performance. I was surprised Jeff got some lead vocal lines and that they didn't play You are Not Alone. Very cool. Go Mavis.
