  1. This may be a stretch, but "members of Wilco" were spotted at the Sunday Lincoln Hall Fiona Apple show in Chicago per Rolling Stone. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/fiona-apple-kicks-off-tour-with-manic-chicago-show-20120319
  2. I saw Johnny Lang open for Aerosmith in 1997. Aerosmith brought him out for Last Child. Brad could wear a tshirt with the phrase "schooling Johnny Lang since 1997" and get away with it. Thanks for the review - I've always been interested about this tour/project.
  3. Looks like another show added: Memphis, TN 5/19 Mud Island Amphitheatre
  4. "Nick Lowe and His Band" are playing the Park West April 20th and tickets go on sale this Saturday for those that have been waiting to see what venue he would play...
  5. Musicianship, special effects (mostly cheese factor undermining the music), setlist not flowing well. Wilco never bombs on those.
  6. This thread is a bummer. Too negative for me. I love Wilco shows and want them to continue to play what they want to/ think they should play. I haven't left disappointed with a Wilco show in a long time.
  7. I was at the show last night. DLR had some real technical issues. How related those were to his egomaniacal behavior and poor vocal performance I can't say, but I walked away from the concert knowing I had just seen the worst performance by an arena vocalist that I had ever seen (and I go to arena shows a lot). Still fun, but wow, just wow DLR. Greg cuts him too much slack in the review.
  8. Van Halen 2/24 Rich Robinson 3/9 (haven’t pulled the trigger on this one) Magnetic Fields 3/26 Yukon Blonde 3/27 Tweedy 3/30 Wild Flag 4/5 Wilco 5/11 Wilco 5/12 M Ward 5/22 Just got shut out of the Fiona Apple show.
  9. Van Halen/ Kool & The Gang tonight in Chicago @ The United Center. Was able to secure a very cheap ticket and now totally excited.
  10. Can't believe that most of the presales didn't sell out yesterday.
  11. I read the reviews of the 2009 show there in the After the Show forum and all signs point to GA. "totally awesome and unique venue! The actual space where they have shows sort of looks like a giant airplane hangar from the outside, but inside it's much smaller than you think. And man, the entire place is really, really eye-catching and a testament to a certain era in American history. This venue sounds really cool/neat.totally awesome and unique venue! 12. Seems like there is a room for a show on the 17th? Jacksonville? New Orleans?
  13. Red Hot Chili Peppers added to this festival today.
  14. Looks like Jack White plays 5/18 & DMB 5/20. I'm assuming that leaves SCI for 5/19. Would make the most sense for Wilco to be on stage just prior to Jack out of those three and they do seem to be the #4 band on the bill. Right? I haven't heard much about this festival. Is it any good?
  15. I assumed we were searching for vitriol on Lana not Liz. There is tons on Liz from her self titled album era. Jim Derogatis tore into Liz pretty good at that point too.
  16. Just realized I've never seen them close with Heavy Metal Drummer before. I've seen 44 shows in an era where that song was around and have never seen them do it. It was a good song to close with too.
  17. I don't think the full setlist that you have here links with the episode that aired. Right? No Far, Far Away, Bull Black Nova or War on War
  18. Ouch. I enjoyed the show just fine without alcohol. No difficulty. Sometimes it is nice to have a beer while listening to rock n' roll - I didn't like being restriced from doing so. I agree it can be a chattier crowd with alcohol, but think it can be fun watching Wilco play off such a crowd. I'm going to ignore what I'm interpretting as an insinuation that I am an alcoholic (other than this sentance - ha). Regarding the people sitting in the center section of the orchestra section, we saw different things. I saw a woman with blonde hair in the front row pretty much in front of John standin
  19. I thought it was a great show. The Hult Center was very convenient and the sound is wonderful. One downside to these kind of places is that there were no drinks allowed in the actual theater. I found it funny that the people on the floor stood throughout with the exception of the first 10 rows in the center section. The 1%. I was worried that Sunday Morning was going to put people back in their seats, but better results ensued. Everybody seemed to be in a great mood across town all day - great weather may have been inspiring. The production is just so neat, especially on the new songs. I've se
  20. Scott was in attendance but no performance last night. California stars would have been a nice tough IMO.
  21. http://www.eugeneweekly.com/2012/02/02/music1.html Rising from the ashes But fresh quotes from John and Scott mccaughey. I wonder if Scott will make an appearance night?
  22. Hi - I ended up finding another ticket so I'm offering this one up. Orchestra. Row II. Ticket cost me $45. Looking for best offer and can deliver this hard ticket the day of the show.
