Albert Tatlock replied to bböp's topic in After The Show
Ta. Yes indeed. I can remember back before the internets when Athens Georgia was a far off mystical place only associated with R.E.M. album covers, but now you, in the words of Steve Forbert, make it all so real. EDIT: Which to me, after listening to it on YouTube for the first time in a very long time, has the repeated riff feel of One Sunday Morning. Mildly interesting. -
Ta for the brief summary, and it was a welcome interruption, but now must get back to my dwindling.

Somehow appropriate on several levels after that report. https://www.dicionariopopular.com/ta-na-disney/ Tá na Disney is an <Portuguese> expression used to say that someone is traveling, that they are saying something absurd or meaningless. That is, if a friend of yours is saying something very nonsensical, you can say: "Are you at Disney?". The idea behind the slang is to say that the person is traveling so much that it seems to be in the enchanted world of Disney.

Like the ones of Nels jigging about. Ta.

Hogging the red carpet again I see. Your New York triptych was excellent stuff. Ta. (I might be bending the meaning a bit but it was 3 works of art and I like that word. Otherwise substitute your old stalwart 'trifecta'). Saving Iceland 2/3/4 for tomorrow. P.S. Any sign of Noggin the Nog (or Nogbad the Bad)? Noggin the Nog EDIT: I couldn't stop myself (and I had a big cuppa) - I've read them all, but waiting for the circling round additions.

Just need to get a preemptive 'ta' in as I will be away for a couple of weeks and likely not drooling over Bbop's reports in that time. Rest assured that I will do so when I get back. I do have a bib in case you're wondering. Albert (sort of)

I have no idea what you are referring to I did listen to this https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0d508t8 a few months ago and his previous series https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0010x7c/episodes/downloads. Spooky stuff.

Did you have named reservations for this event. The medium could Google guests to trawl up some information and weave that into their act?

Yes, a few Grammys's for 'Best cardboard box' filling up the mantlepiece now. Meanwhile, was truly gratified that this got a Grammy, though they seem to have invented another new category instead of just giving it the best song of the year award - though Bonnie Raitt's is great and pleasantly surprised it beat some of the more mainstream entries. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0th9_v-BbUI .

50 years ago today. Still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Best part is the lack of celebration on scoring. That's class for you. Barbars v All Blacks 1973

Finally got a broadcast that coincided with my timezone. Nice radio voice and interesting choices (apart from the Peaches thing that I had never heard of). Good work.

There's a repeat on Thursday that works out at about 11am I think for me, so will try for that (work allowing).

Haven't heard it but just the idea that it happened makes me happy, so ta for that.

Just giving you something to work with now you're in the entertainment business - recollections may vary. Hope you've prepared some appropriate jingles. 'Don't touch that dial' - as they used to say when dials were a thing.

! ! ! ! ! ! Don't forget your scuffle at Le Bataclan. P.S. Please ensure this is recorded and available for posterity and those who will not be awake at that sort of time. Ta.
