Anybody with the name of this newly debuted song, and/or a set list for today?
-
Hey (Paul?) do you know the name of the new song that debuted today? Someone posted that he played on at Mt. Jam that he didn't do in Pittsburgh...

Does the "AC" part meaning they are patterned somehow after Voxes? (a la AC-30, or AC-15..got an old U.K. made AC-15TBX myself...)... 2x12 cabs sounds bigger to me (though I know there was a 2 speaker version of the AC-15- think it was 2x10) Here's another one we got to hear today...a new original..."World Away" And here's one we didn't get to hear...a great version of "Spiders (Kidsmoke)" from Pittsburgh...

Here's last night's version...

Remembering here that Jeff plays almost everything on the album (a la McCartney, Townshend, Rundgren etc.)...so I'm guessing that, outside of the solos, that they are playing parts based on the album versions...meaning, he's written most everything that's being played on stage... It's like he wrote & arranged everything for his little electric orchestra to play... the possible exception I think would be keyboards- Scott McCaughey guested on keyboards, but maybe Jeff played some too- I don't know... Of what I could catch the lyrics here sounded pretty amazing .(a lot was very clear fideli

First of all thanks to "The Inside Of The Outside" for the kind words. Here's a little something to keep the glass half full... Here's the second song from the album for us to enjoy, "World Away". Even though I totally understand & appreciate the no camera rules (I don't do them at shows), I, paradoxically, also am very glad to have what has been documented as well. There are three videos from last night's show in Pittsburgh (this, "Spiders (Kidsmoke)" & "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart"- all taken by the same person) & one expects more stuff like this to show up from any of the Fe

Thanks for the effort!! I think I read his played a Strat on one song last night & a Jazzmaster on another. I'll be curious to see what different acoustics he plays...if you remember any of those, feel free to add to the list, & again, thanks for the indulgence...maybe other gear heads will chime in later on...and I'll be seeing for myself soon enough (tomorrow's simulcast & the Baltimore & D.C. shows next week)...

Cool & thanks, as always! Interesting to see which ones he chose to include, or not, within a tighter time limit. I'll be curious to see what makes the cut as his two hour time that was reduced to 90 minutes tonight, goes down a further 15 to the 75 minutes from 2:30 to 3:45 at Mountain Jam tomorrow & just a reminder that it's going to be simulcast for free- so all of us can get a chance to hear the new songs! http://mountainjam.com/webcast/ If anyone who attended with tonight, or last night, gets a chance to highlight the gear being played, as in...especially what guitars Jeff &

Very nice to have!!!! As we eagerly await the reports from the front lines in the, should be recently finished (7:30 to 9:00 was the schedule) show in Pittsburgh. Thanks! Even though I totally understand & appreciate the no camera rules (I don't do them at shows), I, paradoxically, also am very glad to have what has been documented as well. -
I love the new single! One of my fave things about Tweedy/Wilco is the incredible level of eclecticism. "I Might" & "Dawned On Me" were just classic perfect pop singles of the highest proportion. This new one comes from a darker & more left field place & it combines being a total ear worm with lots of misty layers of sonic goodness that reveal more & more with repeated listenings. I think it's a bold, & maybe a little unexpected, choice as a first song, & equally interesting that they didn't play it at the first gig too. It reminds me of how interesting it always is to

To all those who attended the show & can possibly recall any details... I'm wondering what the gear was? As in...especially what guitars Jeff & Jim were playing?...but any & all (amps, pedals, drums, basses) info is appreciated & of interest...thanks!! -
First off all glory to bbop for the setlist!! Next up- I think it's as beautiful as it is brave that they are doing so much new material!!! A total thrill & I'm sure the sales of those two pre-order Roadcase shows from both Detroit & Washington D.C. will be pretty high now, as folks realize they will be getting some version of the majority of the album in live form a few months (early July) before the finished studio versions hit the street on September 16th. Here's hoping that the set lists, involving both the old & the new material, get varied & changed up a reasonable amount

First a few questions- How long (hours & minutes wise) was the show at 25 songs? Any merchandise unique to this tour (besides the 10")? And here's some lyric snippets that someone on the Steve Hoffman Forum posted...don't know if these help jog the memory or not... 1. "last book is written, last song is sung" 2. "flowering" 3. "found my things in the trash" 4. "make my rendezvous" 5. "treat me like a stranger" 6. "i want to see what you and i become" 7. "slow love is the only love" 8. "nobody dies anymore" 9. "children are grey"? 10. "i'm sorry you don't recognize me" 11. "i should take -
Well here's the report from the "After The Show" section here, & at the very least I can say that there is no way anyone will have to be worried about them editing out the new material from the Roadcase release...14 new songs & 11 oldies...thanks, as always, to our ace reporter from the front lines, the one & only bböp ... "Well, Night One of Tweedy is in the books....will write more in a bit, but for now, here was the complete setlist as played (new song titles taken from printed setlist): Down From Above* Flowering* Summer Noon* World Away* New Moon* Where My Love* Slow Love* No

Jeff Tweedy & St. Vincent!! Wow! Congratulations you impossible Germany you!!

Yeah, when I posted that we didn't yet know the release date. I don't think there is any chance we'll be seeing that CD for sale at the shows before the release date. On the plus side...we'll have the two Roadcase shows, & hopefully live versions of some of the songs before that (hoping & betting "I'll Sing It" will be one of those on the set list)...and...I'm betting with that release date that we also will get some shows at the end of Summer/start of Autumn to promote the album. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a few NYC shows! And always hoping that Rochester/Buffalo/Syracuse migh

First of all...Great thread!! Secondly, I absolutely agree with everything you've said here & especially let me enthusiastically join you in tilting decisively in favor of shows with the current lineup as well.

Here's a great, more in depth, article about all of this: http://thefutureheart.com/2014/05/18/wilco-updates/

I'm betting this means more tour dates in the Autumn too! Digging the new song, which is inspiring me to go-go to the Pittsburgh show!!!

Big news today from HQ. We’ve got the first details on Jeff’s forthcoming album, Sukierae (sue-key-ray), which we will release via dBpm Records on Sept. 16. Technically not a solo album, Sukierae features 20 new songs written by Jeff and performed by father/son team of Jeff and his 18-year-old son and drummer Spencer under the band name TWEEDY.

For the new album? Also meaning...it won't likely be for sale in Pittsburgh?

I'm now 50/50, or better, on my once certain, then dwindling, chances of the Pittsburgh show...and, as the time draws nearer, I'll probably just break down & do it. My main confusion now is about the start time, as there now appears to be an opening act that's been added. The official Wilco site lists Lily & Madeline as the openers, & Lily & Madeleine's facebook page just mentioned it, but...the Lily & Madeleine site still doesn't have it listed at all, nor does the official Festival website- which still lists the show as going from 7:30-9:00. Does the opening act mean
