5:30-11:00= 330 minutes... I'm hoping for Dylan- 90 Wilco- 75 (but could be 60) MMJ- 60 (but could be 45) Thompson/Binghma-45 (but could be 30) set changes= 3 @ 20 min. each= 60 * If it's 30 min. a set change, then you've gotta chop down each of the opening sets by 10-15 min. I'll tell you 60 min. of Wilco & 30 min. of Richard Thompson is barely enough to get me to Toronto, because the attraction for Dylan for me anymore is minimal (& doesn't constitute a long drive anywhere, ever anymore) & MMJ is less than that (neutral at best...I like some stuff, love nothing, wouldn't pay any

The shows are now up on the Wilco website & you can make your requests there now... Well I'm in for Toronto for sure!!...although I know it probably means about 45 minutes for Richard Thompson Electric Trio &, if we're lucky, 75 minutes for Wilco...but that'll do for me (that's nearly 2 hours which is close to the length of when plays a full headlining set- usually 2 & 1/4 hours...and if it's short it'd be an hour & 45 minutes for both combined, which just makes it for me...). I'll have to see how long Wilco is playing for, how much they are mixing up their setlists etc. before

Looked it up & the winners are ..."I'm The Man Who Loves You", yes, but at the same level & just slightly ahead actually was "A Shot In The Arm"...think that's the one he dedicates to Sue...which I think is cool, sweet & romantic...and it's a great song that we get to hear Jeff play some lead on, and...the it's usually also played on the Psychedelic swirling Gibson SG http://www.setlist.fm/stats/wilco-23d6982b.html

For me this primarily means Wilco!! & Richard Thompson Electric Trio!!...which, on the same bill, would be truly incredible...neat news indeed!

Actually the guitar less was from the other guitarist in Television (who I love as much as Veraline) Richard Lloyd...great choice...here's a terrible hint to stuffing the voting box...just go to different computers...a simple trip to the library, or a local college, should work quite nicely...but they'll most likely know... I don't think they are choosing my the number of votes a song gets, but rather by the songs that will look the most interesting & logistically possible, for them to do... But again, great choice...

I'm still requesting "Sunloathe" daily on the standard old website link for the Solid Sound show.http://wilcoworld.net/#!/shows/ I'm thinking the one on the Solid Sound website set-up is more for requests of cover songs- hence them asking for the song title & the band who played it. I'm betting that they are going to learn as many of the requests as possible (which will be fun for the future set lists too) & choose the ones that are the most fun & comfortable for them to attempt...and remember there is still some "in the moment" sort of "stump the band" type of request component th

While I guess I can now also say that that is exactly, to the letter, the same rumor I had heard myself & referenced back in post #6 on this thread. I honestly doubt it very much, but who knows...and of those three...I've seen Dylan, plenty, & while the last time a couple of years ago was still good, knowing he'd be the headliner is not very exciting to me. He's cheaper than The Rolling Stones, but with Mick Taylor playing with them, & all, I'd much rather see The Rolling Stones. And...My Morning Jacket is one of a handful of bands I've tried to check out again recently (along with

"Scott Warren Miller 1960-2013 I wish it weren't true, but as much as it pains me to write these words, Scott passed away on April 15, 2013. He was a wonderful, loyal friend as well as a brilliant musician, and I will miss him for the rest of my life. Scott had been planning to start recording a new Game Theory album, Supercalifragile, this summer, and was looking forward to getting back into the studio and reuniting with some of his former collaborators. If listening to Scott's own music is too painful for you right now, as it is for me, I can tell you that he absolutely loved David Bowie's n

Must have missed that on the SHF...followed the Stones tour thread a little, but not closely (I'm on the fence about going myself & could only do the cheapest, $85 "lottery" tickets for this Summer anyhow)...interesting enough I also heard a rumor about Wilco being part of a triple bill involving another different individual artist for the great classic rock Olympus...promised the source not to say anything about it though... I'd always rather see Wilco than not & opening for any other great act I dig would be cool...but...at this point I have to say there isn't a single act in the wor

The full concert was streamed live online, & it's now been archived, in it's entirety, & is available for viewing for 30 days. N-Joy!! -
Sorry about doubling up on the "Free" part there...if an Admin. person wants to correct it down to one, please feel free (pun intended). From The Autumn Defense Official Website: "As big thanks to our loyal fans and friends here, we hope you enjoy a free download of these two full-length records. We're working hard on the next release, coming this fall, and hope you'll be as happy with it as we are.". The albums available for download are "The Autumn Defense" & "The Green Hour". http://theautumndefense.com/

It's right there on the regular Wilco Shows Page on the Official Website... http://wilcoworld.net/#!/shows/ Solid Sound is the last one on the page...it only allows the usual requests, no crazy covers or "write-in's"- though...they do allow comments (in the "add a note or dedication" section), so I guess you could request a song from the list, & let them know that whatever you chose would be your 2nd choice, & then write-in your true first choice that might not be on the list (including weird covers) in the "add a note or dedication" section...

From "Young Frankenstein": Igor: Could be worse Victor: How? Igor: Could be raining! I think Jeff should get a second series of guitar picks to go with his "Could Be Worse" ones, that say "Could Be Raining"...though I often love the rain myself... -

Can't wait for Nelsonville Fest & Solid Sound!! 3 songs in & they sound incredible, but I'm thinkin' that the video & audio are ever gonna be synching up for the stream...oh well, minor problem, great show!! -
I've been requesting that one on the website for weeks now myself for Solid Sound...as I'm sure you know, it'd be a debut for the band & the last/only song that they've never performed off of "The Whole Love" (though I guess Jeff has done it solo)...

I'm with you. I'll be excited to hear whatever covers they come up with (who knows any of those might spill over into night #2 for all we know- which would be continued surprises & fun), but... I'm WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more into the idea of hearing Wilco originals that are rarities/officially unreleased songs, b-sides, deep album cuts, etc., etc. ...I look forward to the covers for sure, but just not as much as hearing what lesser played stuff from their own catalog they might do...and I hope proportionally we hear many more Wilco originals than covers in their Friday setlist...

I'm PMing you here too...if you still have this, I've got a friend in Baltimore that just found out that he'll be able to do this...and he needs one ticket. Let me know sooner than later & if so, we've got it sold for you...we'll work out the details ASAP (I can even front him the $ now & paypal you if you have an account)...

Exactly, the artwork from the Led Zeppelin Box Set... here's the tale... and for the record, I love the design of both, & I think Crop Circles are a pretty amazingly cool, & visually beautiful, phenomenon. http://www.feelnumb.com/2011/10/24/led-zeppelin-remasters-crop-circles-album-cover-location-east-field-alton-barnes-wiltshire-uk/

What a great show last night!! First time seeing him solo & he exceeded my expectations!! I also lucked out & got both my reqests played (gave him a choice, as most other requesters seemed to be doing, about which he'd want to play/whichever would be easier)...because someone named Brian also requested "Everlasting Everything". Jeff noted that Bill Fay thinks it's the best song he ever wrote. Thanks to Brian's work, that meant that my officially played request was "What Light". Heading down to line after lunch & maybe I'll identify myself a VCer today & ask if anyone else in-li
