Hitchhiker is excellent. I highly recommend Tyler Wilcox's cover story in Uncut about Neil's archive. Very well done

The Facebook and Twitter accounts for The Replacements have suddenly come back to life with a couple posts over the last few days. Both are pictures from a 1986 live show. Tonight's post cryptically says "coming soon". The Star Tribune has a piece up speculating that it could be a live archival release. http://m.startribune.com/knock-knock-who-s-there-paul-westerberg-and-another-weird-track-under-an-alias-dry-wood-garage/433655233/

Nels was a monster. I brought a friend and he was amazed by the show, Nels and Glenn. They were really at the top of their game tonight. -

Add A Shot in the Arm acoustic for the second encore. They were excellent tonight. I have seen this band so many times going back to 1995. Tonight was a cut above from a lot of those shows. Great set, great crowd, and a great performance tonight -
Bob Mehr's book, Trouble Boys, is out now. It is an excellent, warts and all history of the band. Highly recommended for any fans of the Mats

Wilco on CBS Saturday Morning Saturday Sessions

Cool piece on the history of the theater followed by the band playing RNG and More. I was really blown away by how nice the room is. As Jeff said, they really put some care into the restoration. -

I submitted my Yahoo address twice and got nothing. My girlfriend's GMail account got it right away. Maybe there's an issue with Yahoo accounts?

Thanks for the heads up. I was on the fence because money's tight. Thanks for the coupon code.

I'm with you on both points. I found WHP to be a bit of a slog. Shakey, on the other hand, was a great read.

They have covered The Waterboys before.

Grantland interview with Jeff and Spencer--Awesome!
Jimbo Jones replied to Magnetized's topic in Just A Fan
Thanks for posting that. Grantland has published some really good music related pieces this year. Their piece on the War on Drugs is the best music related thing I've read so far this year. -
All my thoughts and prayers to Sue and the Tweedy family.

That was really special last night. Hearing Wilco playing Mott songs with Ian Hunter was amazing. I had heard Wilco play I Wish I Was Your Mother once before. I never thought I would hear them play it with him. I also thoroughly enjoyed Dylan's set. I hadn't seen him in 15 years and went in with low expectations. He easily exceeded them and bringing Jeff and Jim out for The Weight was really a treat. -
Yeah, that's the episode of Reverb that aired on HBO. The show was much longer than that.

I was at this show. What an amazing night that was. Did video of the full show ever show up anywhere?

I figured I would put these here. Here's a link to Wilco on Jimmy Fallon last night. http://m.pitchfork.com/news/47266-watch-wilco-on-fallon/

It was an incredible three night run capped off by another great show. 18 different songs played tonight from the first 2 shows. That's rewarding the people that went to all 3 shows. I have seen Wilco since their first tour, and it had been awhile since I had seen them play some of these songs. I'm just floored by the last three nights.

Velvet Underground bootleg w/ Previously unheard song.
Jimbo Jones replied to HighFives's topic in Someone Else's Song
I really wish they would just make the live set available separately. This is just a blatant cash grab. I own almost all of the rest of the package in various formats and don't want to pay an exorbinant price for the live material. This is why the record industry and sales are in such decline. Nothing is ever done with the fans in mind. -

I liked this show better than last night because of the setlist. I'm hoping for another different set tomorrow. -
Pouring rain, great crowd, and great setlist. Full details to come I'm sure.

SPECIAL! SPECIAL! SPECIAL! This is a memorable show.
