It was far from guarantee that they would just get him anyway. Regardless, Melo trade's a no-brainer. Chandler and Galo couldn't be on the court with Melo and Amare anyway and Billups for Felton is a wash. What, throwing Mozgov in was too much? I've been a Knicks fan since 82-83 and they haven't had two stars on the court together since 73 (Frazier and Monroe). They didn't play any defense before the trade so nothing's changed there. They won't challenge for a title until D'Antoni's dumped anyway, but that talk is for another day. Happy for the Nets too. I have friends bitching ab

Why is there such disappointment over Wilco(The Album)?
parisisstale replied to realrival's topic in Just A Fan
WTA is the first UT/Wilco record that did nothing for me on an emotional level. -
I actually watched the 2nd half of Clippers/Bucks last night to watch the Blake Show and here their play-by-play guy utter his famous line "First team to 100 wins, it's the law!!!"

Love that record. Wish I could have made it. -
The best album you missed this year
parisisstale replied to Spawn's dad's topic in Someone Else's Song
Actually a year and a half late on this one. Might be my favorite debut album of the last many years. -
I suppose "prospects" was a poor choice of words. Just wishful thinking

http://pitchfork.com/news/41234-archers-of-loaf-reunite/ Anyone else excited about the prospects of a tour? Icky Mettle definitely one of my favorite records of the 90s. Used to be indifferent to my 80s-90s favorites reuniting, but the excellence last few Dinosaur records/tours and the recent Pavement shows have changed my mind.

I consider myself a pretty big BoH fan, but this performance didn't really do it for me, and I'm not even sure why. They just sound too clean now, if that makes any sense. I also think Infinite Arms is the weakest of the three albums (which i think puts me in the minority), so that probably has something to do with it.

All 5 nights of Pavement in the NYC

Twas the highlight of my year as well. They were tighter (and happier) than any of the 90s shows I saw.

John Buccigross was the guy. He has great taste in music, and Pavement is seriously one of his favorite bands. Couldn't let this thread fall off the first page. Got tix to all 4. Had to do it. Only 366 days to go

Well put.

Did I miss something here? When did Ryan Church turn into Paul O'Neill? I realize Franceour's been awful but Church hasn't been any better. Franceour's much better defensively and he's 5 years younger. Just not that big of a deal either way. Both guys could use a change of scenery.

Hilarious!!! Kinda bummed I had to give my tix away for this one, but at least my cousin and her friends got to see a great show

Who knew that Michael Jackson made Magic Johnson a better point guard? I must have missed that playoff game when he moonwalked down the lane while going behind-the-back to Worthy. I just hope the madness will finally subdue.

No "After the Show" thread yet? What's goin on?

Great tune. Although I was just a kid, I just remember the one Arguello/Aaron Pryor fight being like the best fight I ever saw. Damn, it's tough to come out the fight game unscathed, either physically, mentally, or both.

Worldwide Leader (we're so cocky...not me, i swear, i'm way too laid back to be there much longer...wow, i went off there a little)

I'm in the stats dept for a widely hated (especially internally) network that you've probably heard of.

baseballreference.com is the best public site to use for any mlb research. We use it for everything we do. From a player's gamelog, you can just click on any start and end date to come up with the totals for that range. http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/gl.cgi?n1=lestejo01&t=p&year=2009 Their accuracy is top-notch as well. I confirm certain numbers with Elias sometimes just be sure and have yet to find a discrepancy. CBS, on the other hand, is garbage.

i do not, but i will be there

Nels has been throwing in little parts here and there for a while now (check out Austin City limits 2007) but recently he's been goin nuts w/ it. This year's Bonnaroo version is sick (as is yours).

The mailman arrived just as I was leaving for work today. Took a quick peek and it was there!!! And somehow I have managed not to hear a note of it yet. Only problem is I can't find my headphones. Gonna have to borrow some. ps - tote and tee are sweet...just pissed now i didn't get the vinyl this time...what was i thinking, trying to cut back a little in this rough economy

Amazing cover!!! So, did Nels get the idea from you, or vise versa? This year's Bonnaroo version was sick as well!!!
