Are you ready for some football?

Thanks. I still wasn't a believer until last night. Now I think we can play with Louisville (still not convinced we can match up with you guys, though). If we do have a chance to play for the Big East title on Dec 2nd, I'm coming down to Morgantown. -

My grandfather's in the hospital, and he told me today that the only thing he's looking forward to is the Cardinals in the World Series. So I guess I'm Cardinal fan for the week. He also was telling me some cool stories about the old Cardinals, especially Dizzy and Daffy Dean. Don't know how much of the stories were true (i think the drugs may have been kicking in at the time), but they were interesting nonetheless. GO CARDS!!!

Sorry if this was posted already, but I didn't see it yet. Since you people got me into this amazing talent, figured some might want to check this out. Good stuff. http://www.kcrw.com/music/programs/mb/mb060928m_ward

Thanks for the heads up on the pre-order. Just got the email for the download, and this show is UNREAL!!! edit: this is the best sounding Pavement recording i've ever heard, and it's definitely sounds like them at their best...unfortunately, i didn't see them for the first time until '95 also, the actual date of this show was April 21st -
Wow, I can't believe it's been 3 years already. Miss him terribly, but I'm positive that he is in a better place.

For the first time since I was a little kid, I am officially a man without a team. Isiah taking over as coach was the last straw. I've never rooted for anyone other than the Knicks, so it's kinda hard to change now. Think I'll just stick with college.

Now who's the prick?

The show's only been over for 12 hours. Where's the patience???

Random thoughts (still can't put together full paragraphs): Glenn's drum solo was almost as long as the 78 nothings. Much longer than the couple recordings of LNGCA I've heard. Political Science brought me back to New Years at the Garden. A little Bush bashing never hurts either (it's been awhile). Don't know about elsewhere, but the sound up front was remarkable. Really nice mix and you could actually make out John's parts. Tony Margherita up in the balcony looked like a proud papa.

Just made it home. Well worth the trip. Of course I might not be saying that in 3 hours when I have to get up. Can't really think too clearly right now, but it was definitely a sick show!!! Bye for now. (in the voice of Eric the Midget)

The perception in these parts has nothing to do with how much money he makes or what kind of person he is. It has more to do with the fact that he seemed to either strike out or ground to third every time he got up in a big spot this year. I'm almost positive that he'll go .320, 50 hr and 130 rbis whenever he goes next year, as long as it's not here.

A-Rod for Verlander.

I wasn't too happy with him laughing in the dugout while the Yankees were about to be eliminated. Also, Zambrano in the Bronx sounds real nice.

"I won't say that women belong in the kitchen, but they don't belong in the dugout." gotta love keith hernandez -
All it really did was keep Glavine and Weaver from going on 3 days' rest. How bout Weaver? Another gem from a guy who was an absolute nightmare while in New York. (Kenny Rogers and Esteban Loiaza also come to mind from this year's playoffs.) Playing in New York is a whole different world. I don't care what anybody says.

Since June of 2004, I've seen them play: Kicking Television One By One Cars Can't Escape Christ For President Passenger Side Candyfloss Magazine Called Sunset Casino Queen Sunken Treasure She's A Jar Just A Kid In A Future Age Far Far Away Outtasite Monday Just A Kid all the MSG New Years' Covers As far as I'm concerned, they've mixed it up fine. If I need to hear all of Summerteeth, I'll pop in a show from 2000. It's pretty much been summed up already: if you don't like what they're doing, don't go. If I hear one song per show that I haven't seen before, I'm kool and the gang. H

Carpenter also hasn't been very good lately. Mets all the way tonight. (I can't believe I'm actually rooting for the Mets right now. Where I come from, I could get stabbed for that.)
