Happy Birthday man!!! Hope to meet you in Red Bank.
-
Really old theater that's definitely reserved seating. Only been there for comedy shows, so I can't really comment about the acoustics. Should be a great atmosphere, though. Doesn't hurt that Red Bank's one of the coolest little town's around. You're only a couple miles from the beach as well, so you could make a nice little weekend out of it.

I was thinking of you when I saw Count Basie. Wilco in Red Bank just sounds so right!!!

JUN-22 RED BANK, NJ COUNT BASIE THEATER JUN-24 NORTHAMPTON, MA THE PINES JUN-25 NEW YORK, NY HAMMERSTEIN BALLROOM JUN-28 BOSTON, MA BANK OF AMERICA PAVILION JUN-29 SHELBURNE, VT THE GREEN AT SHELBURNE MUSEUM Wow!!! Hope to make at least 4 of these. I specifically asked for some time off in June hoping they would make an eastern trek right after Bonnaroo. The Pines was awesome last year, and you can't go wrong with an outdoor Vermont show (at least I hope it's outdoors). And 2 years in a row in my old stomping grounds of New Jersey, I can't even believe it!

Thanks for the input. At least I know I'm not alone.

Did anyone else not get the email yet???

I was up in the 200 section, and I even could see that it was definitely a walk. Vandy did have their chances though. Great game!!! USC just ran out of gas. Gibson's foul trouble in the 2nd half killed them. Overall, those were 2 of the worst officiated games I've ever seen. It really all evened out, though, because there were so many awful calls both ways in both games. Last observation: UNC Fans = Annoying USC Dance Team = Very Nice

Worst season...ever!!!

Stanford, Arkansas, and Illinois = jokes. Syracuse and Drexel = screwed.

Not to turn this into another SBS thread (I know there's enough in Just A Fan), but while at some point while I was listening to the album today I thought of Billy Breathes. Can't remember exactly where I heard the similarites, but there were definitely a few instances. Perhaps it's just in the overall feel of the record. Don't know why I had to bring that up. Probably because that's the first time I thought of Billy Breathes in a long time.

I really like The Bird and the Bee album, but everyone I've played it for looks at me like I've lost my mind. I've listened to "Again and Again" every day for a month now, but I don't feel guilty yet.

Either Way=Most beautiful Wilco song ever
parisisstale replied to sleepymonkey's topic in Just A Fan
While I'm definitely enjoying the album so far, "Either Way" doesn't really do much for me (especially as an opener). But maybe I'll enjoy it more should I get dumped in the near future. -
For anyone interested, it's up on etree already. http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=504847

The shades really do help. -
Damn you internet! I said I wasn't going to listen until the release, but it's everywhere. Only heard "You Are My Face", and it was definitely worth it. Just a beautiful tune.

Waiting til May. Imagine that.

Did you happen to catch Mason Jennings set? If so, thoughts?
-
That's cool. Very happy that Randy's gone. Top to bottom, though, I'd definitely take your pitching.

So, which one are those guys better than...Wang, Pettite, or Mussina ???
-
Can't complain so far, thanks for asking. Working at ESPN, so how bad can it be?
-
Sure, get rid of Rowand and you'll have the worst outfield in baseball.

I fell in love with 2 bands thanks to Reverb: Built To Spill and Imperial Teen

Sweet !!! I can't believe he's playing in Wallingford, CT . As a tour opener, no less. The single looks awesome too.

None taken. You're right they are. The show was spectacular. At least if I lived in Denver I'd always know one person at the show.

Yeah, Floyd's a great guy but I wouldn't expect too much from him in the way of production.
