Going to see him both nights in Orlando later this month. He can do the exact same setlist and it will be fine by me! I would take Sir Paul's show over a Stones show these days, especially with all the cheesy "special guests" (Gwen Stefani, gimme a freaking break). And at about half the price. I love the Stones, but jeez...

That's really late, Shug. I would try to contact them, see if they have a tracking number.., I've listened to all the discs, and it's a pretty good release. Not sure I'll listen to it much, but 4 discs for 30 bucks is not a bad deal.

Cool! Glad they got the sound right... And I am amazed that Rich smiled. -

Thanks for the info. I am a casual fan at best (I didn't even recognize Thick 'N Thin), but they were a decent night out. Honestly, it made me appreciate Wilco that much more. We have really gotten spoiled by so many great performances by Jeff and the guys. -
Another thing we agree on! Seriously, dude, you and I have a better record together than Congress. Too bad they don't read this thread!

Cool! Would love a review of old Bob, if you have time.

This is one of the funniest things you have posted yet. Love it! And of course, it reminds me of something I wanted to bring up, but had forgotten: the Department of Homeland Security! First of all, the name is absolutely ridiculous. Since when does anyone refer to our beloved country as our "homeland?" What are we, Uzbekistan? But okay, I'll let that one go for now... How is it that those on the far right are constantly harping on the ineffectiveness of government, how terrible it is, how it's too big, etc., etc., ad nauseum...but then after 9/11, the first thing old Cheney and Rumsfeld a

Pricing within venues varies widely too: $105 for my GA spot in the pit, $215 for folks just behind me. A heavy penalty for needing a seat! My old timer friend and I will have to just suck it up and eat some Advil.

You may be right. But apparently, Bush was wrong. http://moderateleft.com/?p=5224 http://www.buzzflash.com/editorial/04/08/edi04058.html

My blaming was only partially tongue-in-cheek. After all, the classic modus operandi of the GOP is to blame Obama for everything, from the financial crisis to high gas prices, but there's never any accountability for the previous administration. Glad to know you don't believe all those things. I was really concerned about you having access to firearms after such an epic rant.

I'll say it: 9/11 was Bush's fault.

Apparently there is also a Facebook update which says "Grateful Dead and Furthur co-founder Bob Weir is unable to perform in any capacity for the next several weeks. Bob looks forward to resuming his 'Weir Here' broadcasts from TRI Studios in mid-to-late June and performing his solo acoustic shows June 26th-30th." So it sounds like he will still be opening for Wilco, MMJ & Dylan. Woo hoo! Hope he's all right for the shows...

My pleasure. Hope the sound there is better than it was at The Mahaffey. If not, at least you know to keep your expectations somewhat low. If you get clear, clean, crisp sound, you are doing better than me last night! Whatever the case, they put on a good performance. My first time seeing them, and it was enjoyable. -

The Mahaffey Theater is a big old musty theater in downtown St. Pete, right on the water (hmm, would anyone ever associate the words old and musty with St. Pete? Nah...), and it was my first time there for a show. The guys seemed to be in fine form, but they should f

Thanks, man! It was pretty good. Posted a little review in After the Show.

Of course, if Dylan switches up the setlist again, I will be proven hopelessly wrong. However, he has been ending shows with Thin Man for at least a month or two, I think, so you could probably stick around for 12 or more songs before you hear it. The song is not even in my Top 50 favorite Dylan tunes, but the way he does it these days is very entertaining.

Fleetwood Mac-Mick Fleetwood does not play alone
Mr. Heartbreak replied to worldrecordplayer's topic in Someone Else's Song
No, it was the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction exclusion, for which Bob Welch blamed the remaining Fleetwood Mac members...probably right up until his suicide. If he was right, it's incredibly shameful; if he was wrong, I can't see why they didn't rectify the omission. http://blog.cleveland.com/pdextra/2012/06/rock_and_roll_hall_of_fame_snu.html -
Just wait until he starts Ballad of a Thin Man. It's been the last song for a while, and no one else will likely leave during it. You'll be set!

Mr. Heartbreak replied to worldrecordplayer's topic in Someone Else's Song
For me, that's a good enough reason to not see any of these guys. Reminds me of Milli Vanilli or something. Then again, the shitty way Fleetwood Mac treated Bob Welch was enough to make me decide I will never see them. Just my own feeling. They will be here in town soon, but I'm not going unless someone miraculously gives me a ticket. -

This show isn't exactly what you're describing for Neil's arena shows. For one, the tickets were listed before they went on sale as US $25.00 Ticket + US $7.00 Fees = US $32.00 or US $89.00 Ticket + US $16.70 Fees = US $105.70. Only two options, leading one to think that the lawn seats would be $32 and seated, $106. When I signed in for the presale, I chose the option of “best available” and it gave me the GA pit. It never mentioned higher priced tickets at that point. Only later did it give all these B.S. options (gold, silver, or whatever) that are literally twice what I paid, for seats ri
