Hey All, So I was reading for one of my classes with the television on and Carson Daly came on. He interviewed these 2 guys who run a restaurant called Animal I think out in LA. Anyways, throughout this whole segment Wilco's music was used. Not sure what Wilco has to do with making Lamb Neck besides Blood Of The Lamb. The songs that were used were: Can't Stand It, At Least That's What You Said, Pot Kettle Black, Muzzle Of Bees, ELT, and Side With The Seeds. Not groundbreaking news at all but pretty strange and cool that 6 songs were used. Thanks, Kristofor PS I think there's a sma

Hey Everyone, Well, I slept on something that occurred to me last night about the interviews. It stemmed from popping in a Lost bonus disc. Sunday nights are pretty boring, so pretty much anything can go into the player. Anyways, I watched a little bonus feature about The Guns On Lost. And you know what it made sense. It made sense because the documentary film crew must have been feeding the actor's about who had what gun and so on. So me as a viewer understood where a gun that showed up in Season 1 wound up in Season 4. But because of this it felt kind of manufactured and phony, even it if

Hey, Quick thought that I forgot to mention. Did anyone like the fact that Canty & Green shook up the songs enough so that we didn't know what was coming? I mean, I know we have the songs in front of us. But it was nice to hear certain songs separated from where they usually are in concert. I feel bad for those few people who are casual Wilco fans and who don't know about VC or a typical setlist. So after this dvd convinces those people to check out Wilco live, how many of them will head for the doors once War On War finishes thinking that that's the last song? Ha. Or thinks that Twee

!goose!, I guess I did, since I skipped over the interview portions the second time around. That's pretty much what's different about the extras - just a simple black fade for a second. But to answer your question more seriously. I'm not sure. I think both groups of songs are tough to pick which I enjoyed better. But I did like not having to worry about pushing the menu button. Hey Everyone, Well, I love the DVD. But I do share some critiques that people have bravely shared with us. I do feel that they could have went further with their theme and it sort of went away. As someone who has tried to document his friend's musical career, I realize the difficulty of actually presenting something to be seen and/or consumed. I'll talk about this really quick. I got my degree in film and had a documentary class. I decided to interview my musician friend and film him live which I had been doing for awhile. Well long story short the documentary is pretty rough. This was du

Hey nalafej, I think this is originally one of those big gimmicks to bring in local people to see the minor league ball club. I paid 4 dollars for nice standing room only "seats" last summer and heard about this bbq. It turns out of course once you get there you need to pay one lump sum to get food at the bbq. Not too surprised they're keeping this for Wilco. An interesting thing about LeLachuer Park is this. Way back in September when I started grad classes at UMass Lowell, the first night we had the windows open and you could hear the ball players names being read over the PA which must'

Hey Everyone, Yeah, I popped in my DVD and now there was wording after you click on Bonus Material. Than it brought me to Roadcase. I signed up real quick. Got an email. Confirmed my subscription. Than dropped down Ashes Bonus Content and than the DC show. So after 2 minutes I realized that those 2 white wordings Ashes and DC were actually hyperlinks which began downloading as soon as I clicked them. Hope this helps, Kristofor PS So awesome! Can't wait to listen to these!

Hello Everyone, Well, I only saw the option for the Ashes Bonus content when I went to signup on the roadcase page. It said it was the 20 songs from the DVD. No mention of DC show. I didn't sign up though because I'm already a member(plus I only have 1 working email address) for the Roadcase section and I expect to see the DC show on the drop down menu along with AGIB extras, Sunken Treasure DVD extras, etc. I'll just wait until the link works through the DVD. Do we know which show it is yet? Kristofor

Hey Everyone, This is what you get if you click info for the Lowell and Dutchess Stadium show(s) on wilcoworld.net http://www.highergroundmusic.com/wilco/ Wonder if Front Gate is handling these? I would assume so. Higher Ground is just the promoter. Kristofor

Hello Everyone, Well, I'm sure most people are familiar with seating plans for ball parks. I'm about half sure. I've only seen The Police at Fenway Park. Those 2 photos are of Dropkick Murphys/Bosstones at LeLacheur Park last summer. If people want to know what it looks like. These photos really don't do it justice. The bridge is much nicer when you're there. From the above photos it definitely looks like the baseball diamond is off limits. Everyone looks like sardines. I doubt the Wilco show will be this jammed in. But the 2nd photo shows people few and far between in the stands. I'm guess

[JUL 11 Lowell, MA LeLacheur Park /quote] Wow!!!!!!! I don't know what to say. That's like 5 fucking minutes from where I live. Whoa!....this is going to take awhile to sink in for me. I secretly wished for them to come to Lowell, but I never guessed it'd be at the Minor League ballpark. I was thinking if anything they'd play here http://www.lowellsummermusic.org/page.php?page=root/home.htm But Lowell is a beautiful city, and it fits in with what's been said about the album photo shoot etc. It really cleaned itself up. The ballpark is really nice on the river. Not so sure

Hey Everyone, Well, I feel quite lucky after hearing these "horror" stories. I live in Southern NH very close to the Northeastern MA border and the closest store to me is Bull Moose in Salem, NH. I went there last Thursday night and the guy looked up the dvd for me and said that they'd be getting 18 copies in. So I pre-ordered one for myself. This included no money transaction. I just put down my name and will hopefully have one set aside. http://www.bullmoose.com/rel/v2_home.php?d...amp;storenr=258 So for anyone in this area you have that specific store and there's another store in P

Hey, I was going to start a similar thread about how I'm somehow more excited for the 10 shows coming up this month than the record. Sounds crazy. But you know what I mean, I'm sure we'll be hearing new stuff. If you go to a concert or if you download a show. Once again thanks to the amazing people who tape shows. We'll get some real gems over the next 2 weeks. As far as predictions, I think these shows will be Sky Blue Sky light. I don't really know what songs will be a mainstay in these shows coming up. After the residency, they have played pretty close to everything. I have a feeling w

Hello Everyone, I spent a very rainy and stormy Friday night going through my DVR tv shows. One show that I really like (4 episodes in) is Castle with Firefly's Nathan Fillion. Anyways, there was a guy on the show that I thought looked like Jeff Tweedy. He had something similar about him that I can't describe. His name is Michael Reilly Burke.

Hey, Yeah, I caught this too. Almost came here to post this but realized we hear Wilco in all sorts of weird places now. Yes, it was used in some montage. I think for the whole month of March Carson has been on the road. Also, he had The Arcade Fire's Ocean Of Noise and Pixies' Tony's Theme in other montages too. Kristofor

I LOVE Western Mass. Like I said it's a bit taxing to drive home (southern NH) after at such a late hour. Luckily, I had someone with me. Last time I went by myself. I don't know how I used to do it. Man, I'm getting old at 30 already. LOL. I feel bad for the people who came from CT, NY or anywhere else far, far away. I think I messed up some of what Tweedy said because behind me people kept screaming out "She's A Jar!!!" "Kamera!" "Casino Queen!" and than people were shushing those people. Maybe perfectecho was sitting around me. But like I said in my post they weren't 100% accurate, but

Amazing! Jeff mentioned in his typical fashion that "hey you guys keep screaming out songs that I played last time I was here!" I thought this was extremely clever and great that he cares to take note of what he did all the way back in 2005. Only 8 songs out of 27 were repeated from that night. That's really nice. I mean you couldn't ask for anything more than being catered to if you went last time. Jeff sounded amazing and so did his guitar. Jeff's banter of the night circled around stories of his Dad. Some of the following aren't 100% exact just what I remember. "My Dad told me this..

How long have these last two Tweedy shows been?
u2roolz replied to trayanastasio's topic in After The Show
Hey man, I think Jeff's fantastic show tonight went almost until 11. I'm pretty sure. I think he came out for the last encore around 1045. I remember being in my car waiting to do the 1hr45min drive back at 1106pm exactly. I was going to wait around out back, but I'm glad I left right away. I was just really tired. I hope though that if Jeff did come out and greet some fans that that all went well. Kristofor ps Bbop, it was nice seeing you. I saw you outside the men's room on the entrance level. pps...did anyone else out there find it taxing on the eyes to look at the show? I think it -
Hey, Can't wait for tonight either!! I'll ask the obligatory "what time did Jeff come out?" I'm just putting the finishing touches on my trip out there. Thanks, Kristofor
