I agree about John & Pat’s vocals being virtually non-existent. I definitely missed them on Whole Love. - Kamera’s intro sounded a bit muted. Not sure if this was also a result of the audio mix. - How fucking sweet was it to hear Sky Blue Sky again? I wish they’d bring back I Might. - Loved Bull Black Nova being followed by Not For The Season. Excellent guitar work & a bit different than the last time they were played. - How To Fight Loneliness was sublime and I’m hoping that this one sticks around through the fall U.S. run - I’m Always In Love sounds like the way that Jeff wanted i

I use a free YouTube to mp3 site, but I think there’s a 2 hour limit. Guess I’ll have to play it in my car via Bluetooth.

I can hear the crowd now. I haven’t figured out how to copy & paste YouTube links after I just updated my iOS, but it should be easy to find.

That’s a great live album. I think I’ve listened to Xmas shows in London from 72 & 73. I seem to recall watching one off of YouTube. Must be the one that you’re talking about.

Not really. There’s a montage that has some 70s concert costumes. The most famous concert that they replicated was his 75 show at Dodgers Stadium where he wore a Dodgers baseball uniform. The 2nd most famous concert was the Troubador show in 1970 where he first landed in the U.S. It shows him performing Crocodile Rock from that small club, but that wouldn’t happen till a few years later. It works though.

Sorry for the delay. I wrote a review after the movie from the parking lot and it got lost in the ether. Decided to grab a bite instead of writing it all over again. I loved it! I saw it in the Dolby Digital cinema which made all of the concert scenes and musical numbers really jump out even more. Taron Egerton has a great voice and did a fantastic job as Elton. There were a few times where he looked just like him. Having him actually sing Elton’s songs was a brilliant choice that really pays off. As I’m sure most have read by now, the film comes off like a throwback to the MGM musicals o

I just took a gander at today’s setlist for Belgium over at setlist fm and the third song is listed as “unknown”. Hmm...could be a cover or something new? Edited: that “unknown” song was Kamera. Not sure how they knew the other 24 songs and not that one. https://www.jambase.com/article/wilco-amsterdam-live-stream?fbclid=IwAR3uBXCsx7jfqAuUOuVm3JB6ktdbj6ioq_7Pm2Wml__C948YW1KIsJX2TPI Webcast this Sunday from Amsterdam.

Congrats! (always interesting to put screen names to people on FB) Well, we know one song so far.....

Winners of #WilcoKaraoke have been notified in private, per Solid Sound tweet. One guy over at the FB group identified himself as a winner.
-
Do you think we’ll know a bit of the karaoke setlist based off of the winners? Or will the songs try to be kept secret? I guess that would be tough to do.

Funny I should bring up the Disintegration setlists. It looks like it’s a different setlist for today’s show. Edit: 1st Wendy Time since 92.
-
Interesting setlists for The Cure this year. 8 straight b-sides to kick off the show followed by the entire Disintegration record and a brief encore. I’m hoping this tour hits the states in the fall.

I remember Adam West as Batman in that particular iteration of Batman movie trying to get rid of a bomb for an obscene amount of time. It became a bit. Can’t throw it here because there are kids there etc. Batman & Robin took on The Joker, The Penguin, The Riddler and Catwoman. The Dark Knight Rises tipped their hat to Batman: The Movie when Batman had to get a bomb out of Gotham by using his Batwing. I’m guessing it’s symbolic of the times that we live in. Are you Adam West or the bomb about to go off?

Being fucking miserable is a prerequisite for seeing The Cure! How perfect!

Tickets & theaters are now available on the website above. I’m lucky and have a few theaters to choose from.

I used the unique code for the Wang Theater this morning and the same seats were available from using yesterday’s code. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I probably didn’t need the venue code, unless if there was a one ticket limit for CasinoQueen. I’m in for Boston night 2. Orchestra Right Row N aisle seat. I wonder if the public sale tomorrow will have any seats in the 1st 10 rows. Edit: oh! Today it showed that I was the 588th person waiting in the TM waiting room. That didn’t happen for me yesterday. Lots of demand or those numbers are just made up.

Someone posted a pic of tonight’s setlist over at the FB group. Great looking set! Quite a few staples missing.

You’re welcome! It was relatively easy and you were right: it was done via TM. Did you get a Spotify code? Did you get in? I conjured up a fan club idea while waiting for tickets and I see the post about how the Neil Young fanclub tickets work. Strange stuff. I’d put money into a Wilco fanclub for tickets and get a vinyl piece every now and then. Or a subscription to Nugs.
-
I had the 4th row for Boston 1 & it said that someone else beat me to the ticket. Ended up getting aisle seat row L. I’ll try for night 2 the next two days. Anyone ever find out the Spotify presale code? I think Wilco is skipping New Orleans because they need another southern city to hit when they get to Florida. Wilco have always toured like that. They’re hitting the road for a month in October and skipping some cities in those regions, but they’ll get to them on the next trek.
-
I totally forgot how this works. Last time I bought tix for something that wasn’t Solid Sound was fall of 2015 for Boston 2016 shows. Scratch that. I was at the Maine show in 2017. I don’t have the email yet, but I know both presale codes. The official site doesn’t say much on what to do. Do I need my own user name? Lol Edit: ok. I looked around here and I see the pinned Crowd Surge thread.
-
I kinda like how no new tour dates were listed here in this thread. It was close to opening up a present. Extremely surprised to see 2 shows listed for Boston. Also surprised at the venue. Relieved to be seeing them again in October. It feels like 2004 all over again with these venues. Boch Center presale code for Thursday 10am is MARQUEE Live Nation presale code for Thursday 10am is GROOVE Edit: haven’t received an email yet. Edit part 2: FB events lists start time at 7:30 which always sounds like there could be an opener.

I’m about to see Rocketman. I’ll let you know what I think.
