  1. An admin from the U2 FB group for fans selling tickets to other fans chatted with Dallas Shoo, The Edge's guitar tech, last night. It was after U2's appearance on TFI Friday. Anyways, Dallas claims that Songs Of Experience will be out sometime in December and that the majority of the album is already mixed. He also mentioned that U2 will stick to arenas again next year in Europe & U.S. A poster replied that he has a friend who works at Live Nation & he claims that U2 will open their U.S. tour next June in New York City. Take the info with a grain of salt, but the structure that's bei
  2. . I got there 20 minutes after calling them and the other copy was sold! Weird.
  3. I'm heading out to pick up the White vinyl at Newbury Comics. I was completely off by a day and I missed out at Bull Moose Records. Here's the scoop: they have an extra copy and it's $23.97. Anyone out there interested? PM me. I'll most likely buy the only 2 copies that they have, unless it they sell the one not put aside for me.
  4. Is this a hipster dating show on MTVu? Regarding the disappearance of Boston tix: Well, would you rather they play Agganis Arena which is what I was expecting them to play? I think the Orpheum and Wang are interchangeable in terms of capacity. It seems obvious that there's a hunger for Wilco in Boston and not everyone makes the trip out to Western MA for Solid Sound. I wonder if they could sell out the Garden? I hope this quick sellout forces them to come back in the summer and play.
  5. Yeah! A new rivalry has been struck. I agree with the call. The ball was in play and the runner took advantage of that. The fans thought that they were at a hockey game and started throwing beer cans and hitting people with them. The police came out! Bench cleared twice in the bottom half of the inning. Once from Dyson objecting to Encarnacion's hand gestures to the crowd telling them to calm down. Dyson thought that Juan was asking the crowd to bow to him. Then after the 3rd out, Dyson walked up to Tulo & talked shit to him. Not to mention, 3 Texas errors led to 3 Blue Jays on base. Craz
  6. Cool! I imagine I have to dig through a bunch of upset Wilco fans to find this info on a FB post. Maybe there's passwords buried there for the other shows? DC password is CATNAPS. Wow! This is so unorganized to go through right now. Brooklyn: KINGSFAN
  7. According to a random "sponsored" Boston Orpheum Facebook ad, the Live Nation password for tomorrow's 10am presale is PIANO. Has anyone else seen this? Or is this another example of how scattered this pertinent info is?
  8. http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/01004F49B1FD3FC7?page=tmus&tmid=01004F49B1FD3FC7 Live Nation presale tomorrow at 10am. I'm not sure how you get a password, but I'm positive that they'll use one. Orpheum General on sale is Fri at 10am.
  9. The second time that I saw Wilco was at the State Theater in Aug 2004 and it was GA. I met Jeff & Sue outside the venue after the show. I believe it was their anniversary. I think I'll wait to buy a ticket for this show. The 2 hour drive in winter could be a mistake. Speaking of which, can anyone lend any ideas what type of situations constitutes a show to be cancelled in the inclement weather? I know that Boston had several parking bans & the subway shut down this past winter, but certain events still went on. A State Of Emergency pretty much shuts down everything. I have a 45 minu
  10. https://www.crowdsurge.com/wilco/ This page might have less traffic….announced on Twitter moments ago RE Portland GA: Yes! I saw Ryan Adams there summer of 2014 on his first gig in a long time and you could move around wherever you wanted to. There was a nice quiet bar area that had a place to lean on and look out into the show and it was easy to go onto the floor and be very close.
  11. It definitely feels like not many seats were allotted for this presale, unless if the lucky people don't post here and strictly on FB. Yeah, I'm surprised that Boston is so cheap. Oh well! I'll be spending the extra money when I rent a Tauntaun in late January.
  12. Now I'm getting the 504 error that everyone else seemed to be getting. Lucky for my solo ticket! Just got in again by refreshing and it looks like there's only the $40.50 & $33.50 options to choose from, however it states "All seats at this price level are currently awaiting payment by other users. There is a chance a small number of these seats will be released if some users choose not to complete their purchase."
  13. The twitter link worked for me: http://wilcoworld.net/events/ I was able to pull Row N Seat 212 for the Boston Oprheum upon 1st try. I didn't notice a $48 price. My ticket was $40.50 and the top option followed by $33.50 which presumably is balcony. Getting nada for anything more than 1 right now. And zilch for 1 at the $48 price.
  14. No snow please! Edit: Saw this on FB and haven't received an email yet. Hopefully, no one gets an email on Wed the day of the presale.
  15. I'm jumping onto the Texas bandwagon! Toronto doesn't deserve to win from the 1st 2 games. Price is like the AL Clayton Kershaw in the playoffs. Texas looks great. Astros look great. It sucks that they lost the lead & I can't believe that I'm rooting for both teams. I guess I like that the "favorites" have looked pretty bad so far. I originally wanted a blue ALCS. It feels like forever for an NL game. Lester vs Lackey. I became ill when people were making their picks, so I don't want to cheat. I am picking the Mets & Cubs.
  16. I wish that this was a Trilogy show, but it seems unlikely with an opening act already lined up.
  17. I found Comedy Bang! Bang! to be an extremely funny show & the podcast is even looser. That's where I really recognized Andy Daly who is on Comedy Central's Review which I highly recommend. The Andy Daly Podcast Pilot Project is an amazing undertaking because Daly uses one of his personas to host the podcast. I'm a huge fan of Don DiMello & Cactus Tony. Each character is unique and a true testament to improv comedy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Jqrhyk7PBM Scott Aukerman & Patton Oswalt talk to Don DiMello (Andy Daly). I could listen to this every day. It makes me laugh so mu
  18. I'm a very fortunate man to live about 23 minutes away from one of the Bull Moose Records locations. They close at midnight and stay open late for new releases. It should aslo be noted that if Tweedy plays the Portsmouth Music Hall again, you can walk about 30 steps to their larger Portsmouth location. PM me if you want me to check for the vinyl. The website is pretty up to date. They rock at special import orders. I got the whole Split Enz collection from them.
  19. Either Way - June 26, 2007 Warsaw in Brooklyn, NY You Are My Face - June 26, 2007 Warsaw in Brooklyn, NY Impossible Germany - Ashes Of American Flags bonus live tracks Sky Blue Sky - June 26, 2007 Warsaw in Brooklyn, NY Side With The Seeds - Ashes Of American Flags bonus live tracks Shake It Off - November 24, 2006 Auditorium Theater in Chicago, IL (I flew in for these shows and they killed this as the opening song which I hadn't heard yet) or June 19, 2007 Chastain Park in Atlanta, GA (I'm almost positive that this is the show where Jeff got the crowd to go "Woo!" after singing "Shake It Off"
  20. I was just going to post this. 3,000 copies. I'm close to a few Bull Moose Records, so if anyone wants me to check to see if they still have some October 12, let me know.
  21. Some of us were wondering when FX would replay Season 1 of Fargo. It looks like that they're doing 2 episodes in the wee hours of Thursday morning. I'll come back here to edit this post to let you know if they're playing these 1st 2 episodes again. I just caught it in time to DVR it. Otherwise, Xfinity is looking for $1.99 per episode On Demand! I've seen a lot of indies over the last few weeks and I'll write about those later. Edit: Episodes 3-5 are on Thursday the 17th starting at 1:06am - 443am EST. It looks like no dice on those first 2 eps airing again anytime over the next few weeks.
  22. I know Robert's brother, Michael, very well. I shoot some pics, videos and Periscope for his 80s cover band that plays all over New England. I met Rob once. Nice guy and a small world after all.
