I get the feeling that they'll play Boston after Solid Sound. The inaugural year was the last time that Wilco played in Boston before a Solid Sound in the same calendar year. They did the Bob Dylan tour a month after Solid Sound in 2013, but that wasn't Boston proper. I'd love a Boston show too, but I'd rather they hit a CT theater and come back to the Capitol Theater in Concord, NH which is perfect for the Schmilco tour.

Too Late - Dennis Hauck's debut is a neo-film noir that was shot on film in 5 22 minute individual takes with no hidden cuts or editing, but clever transitions. I'll admit that the film was written to sound like dialog that film characters speak, but it works as an homage to the genre and was hugely entertaining to watch. The cinematography is outstanding and the whole production is a technical achievement. John Hawkes plays a private investigator and that's all that I'll say about the plot. I believe that this only played in theaters that had film projectors. It's available on iTunes and does

I'm not sure how many people here follow Steve Wynn on Facebook, but he just announced that they're releasing a new album in the 1st quarter of 2017. It'd be the band's first album since 1988's Ghost Stories. They were awesome at Solid Sound & we were all lucky for them to have been invited.

Which clubs in NH? Nothing springs to mind immediately. I live in NH & can only think of a few bars or theaters in the bigger cities. I did some research and noticed a show in Newmarket.

I saw My Morning Jacket open up for Doves in the fall of 2002 at Boston's Avalon club. Jim James had his long hair covering his whole face. Static X opened up for Type O Negative at Life in New York City 1998.

Comedy Bang! Bang! The Andy Daly Pilot Podcast Project - I downloaded all of these and all of his appearances on CB!B! and love every second of it. Plus, he's been on Superego.

Just tuned into the Global Citizen Festival (MSNBC) to catch Chris Martin & Eddie Vedder do a duet of Crowded House's Don't Dream It's Over. Pearl Jam "headlined" last year and had several songs cut from the broadcast. They're doing Nothingman now with Chris Martin playing piano & Eddie singing. Eddie on electric & Chris on acoustic doing Patti Smith's People Have The Power.

I always thought that Jeff Tweedy channeled Elton John's early 70s voice on the first line to Everlasting Everything.

Thanks! I enjoyed winning the items and that's the main reason why I went. I'm so glad that that wasn't the first time that I got to hear the record because it was barely audible. I think the employee kept the promo cd for the store. I just noticed that I didn't get any postcard. Oh, I was also told in order to be considered for the drawing that I'd have to buy the vinyl which I didn't mind. The vinyl is pink, btw. They should have had one item per numbered ticket at The Sinclair.

Wilco — 2 Sept. 2016, Seattle, WA (Moore Theatre)

Both shows are on Dime A Dozen. You can also see shows added to In A Future Age. -
I just "won" or rather was given all of the free schtuff! No one else showed up. It was kind of awkward. They took my pic to put on their FB page. The "white"vinyl pressing looks sweet. It's black and has the "I Heard Schmilco" sticker on one side.

http://www.interbridge.com/lineups.html The best page to keep an eye on for all the talk shows, unless if Wilcoworld beats them to the punch.

Some quick thoughts based off of the recording that I downloaded. I haven't listened to the 2nd show yet. 1. Jesus, etc. sounds rejuvenated! It's about time. I love the organ on it. Jeff sang the whole song and it made me fall in love with the song all over again and not want to skip it in person or on a live disc. 2. Locator is a beast now. Sounds much better than the MN show that was broadcast a few weeks ago. Love that double bass and the extended outro. 3 I'm Always In Love & A Shot In The Arm both sound amazing in this current stripped down version. 4. I'm extremely happy that t -
The ending to We Aren't The World is eerily similar to the ending of U2's Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own. I love the whole album. I was a bit worried that Happiness would be this record's Leave Me Like You Found Me, but it just clicked. Common is my favorite song closely followed by Quarters. It's funny that they haven't played those 2 yet. I also wondered where Mikael went and he sounds prominent on Shrug & Destroy, unless if that's Pat playing. Cry All Day is also another early favorite. I was lucky enough to download the Seattle show and I'll save my thoughts for that thre

I wish that Jeff Tweedy would go on Comedy Bang Bang. The TV series ends this year, but they're still doing podcasts.

Yeah, I was at the same screening last night. I was going to do a review in the Now Watching thread last night, but I watched the Red Sox instead. One of the funniest Q & A's that I've attended.

Airline To Heaven plays through the whole final scene of John Krasinski's The Hollars.

Born To Be Blue - I really enjoyed watching this film unfold and I had no idea about Chet Baker's life. I think that Ethan Hawke did a fine job carrying the film and it had me hooked the whole way. The problem is that they took some liberties on Chet's life, so I can't tell the difference between fact & fiction and a huge fan might have a totally different reaction to it. I found it interesting that Miles Davis & Dizzy Gillespie were somewhat prominent in the storytelling to show how Chet fit into the jazz scene. Miles Ahead - Don Cheadle was great as Miles Davis, but I truly felt t

I was looking through Twitter to find any info about the Salt Lake City show and came across this pic. It's from Boo Boo Records and this should be what every record store will have on tap Tuesday the 6th for the Schmilco listening parties.

I'd love to see them sprinkle in Woodgrain, Bob Dylan's 49th Beard, More Like The Moon, Black Moon, Rising Red Lung & Open Mind.

My favorite song off of the album so far. I listened to it on my iPhone and when I went to tap my screen to light it up again I saw the website that's hosting the tune. I tried to trick it by changing the song title, but "access denied". Lol! Getting antsy over here. I'll see if I can download the MP3. I'm sure it should be easy. Edit: No such luck.

The Mojo review that features the word "hitherto". Maybe that constituted a raise of some sorts.
