The reality of trying to sell these "free tickets" is making me a pessimist. For instance, the MA venue is an outdoor place with lawn seating which is what these GA tickets would be. Who wants lawn tickets that didn't get any free vouchers & who wants tickets that did get free vouchers? That's the big difference. I think the target market that we would be trying to sell to is very minimal and you'd probably end up selling a $35 GA ticket for $20 or less. It's a nice idea and one could get carried away with making a quick $50, but I think that won't be happening. I'll wait to see what ot

The Facebook Event Page for these events is another great place to buy & sell tickets. That's where I found tix for The Cure in Boston last week.

I got lucky Thursday night. I'm glad that I checked the FB Event page for the Agganis Arena show. (I recommend this for anyone looking for tix in a real time environment). Amongst the tour stories were some people looking to get rid of extra tix. Luckily, I noticed this one woman who was in the next town over. I offered her a bit below face and met her in town. I made it in with 5 minutes to spare. Here's my review: it was awesome seeing them, especially after 8 years. However, I felt that the setlist wasn't what I hoped to hear. I'm envious of NYC 1's setlist. That show had the songs that I w

and the WWE. I've got 17 pairs of free tickets. 36 discount vouchers.

Cell - John Cusack & Samuel L. Jackson team up for another Stephen King adaptation that's been in distribution limbo for 2 years. I thought that this was a very good & highly entertaining zombie flick. The film had some very cool shots mixed in with some pedestrian straight-to-streaming cinematography. I've never read the book, so I'm not sure how close it resembles it. The film opens in a stand in for Boston's Logan Airport. Cusack runs down a set of stairs to the T subway station. I can say as a New Englander that this is completely false. Available on iTunes now & in limited

I'm not kicking myself too hard. I've had luck grabbing single tickets in the past due to my resiliency. The day before is usually better than the day of in my experience. Thanks for that Denver link. That was going to be my other question. I hope that they release every song performed from this tour somehow. I'd also like to ask permission to retract my statement about Bloodflowers being lumped in with the last 2 records. Bloodflowers is excellent!

That reminds of the Kristen Wiig film Welcome To Me where she has mental health issues and starts a talk show on a public access channel that gets huge ratings. It was uncomfortable to watch, but brave for walking the tightrope of being funny and being dramatic. I wouldn't watch it again. I fell in love with Richard Linklater's love letter to that weekend on campus right before college starts in Everybody Wants Some!! I could watch this film & "hang out" with these characters tons of times. Great cast of unknowns and paced extremely well. In fact, the main character's love interest is the

U2 is still supposed to release the followup to Songs Of Innocence titled Songs Of Experience at some point, so it's from recordings from that. There's word of them continuing the Innocence & Experience Tour to the places that they didn't hit and places that they did. I don't see how this would go over because their live performance from Paris (shown on HBO last December) is hitting stores this Friday. Will they reuse the stage and come up with a new setlist? Who knows? I guess casual fans and fans that didn't get to see them last year knew what the stage looked like, but now you can watch

Are we going to experience deja vu this coming Monday from Apple's big event which will allegedly showcase a new music platform? Some U2 fan sites ran a rumor yesterday that their new single would be released & possibly performed in a similar manner to the Sept 2014 Apple/U2 event. That song is titled Tightrope.

I'm kicking myself for not purchasing tickets to the Boston show. I wasn't sure what to expect. I asked when tickets went on sale "Are they really going to do 3 hour shows again?" I'm loving the setlists. They really treat their fans well. I've only seen them three times (00, 04, 08). I went back and listened to their whole catalog which had an extremely strong run right until it got to Kiss Me. You can easily take half of those songs and have an even better record. The following 3 were all solid and where I got into them in real time. Bloodflowers, The Cure, and 4:13 Dream have some decent

I think it's lights out for The Donald if he insults Chris Kyle. Yes, he's another dead person, but one who stirs up hypocritical thought processes in his defenders. "You can't question or knock Chris Kyle because he fought for his country. Stop talking to me you coward!" same person "I love Trump because he speaks his mind!" I don't think that I have to go into why I picked this guy on this message board, but for those not in the know he had a funny way of stretching the truth to feed his own "legend".

I sat next to you at that show. Grace had a gold lame dress and she sat right in front of me.

That's what happened last time! I wish that there was a thread for after show stories.

Awesome! I had no idea that he was touring. I remember seeing just him on Jimmy Kimmel Live. I am seeing The Tubes tonight at Tupelo Music Hall in Londonderry, NH. It's about 10 minutes from my place. I saw The Fixx there in August. I keep forgetting to tell that story. I will later.

Yes! Pretty sure it's still PIANO. edited: yeah, check out the Orpheum FB page.

That was one of my favorite episodes. Carrie Coon (Nora) is amazing! She exchanged the frowny face for some smiles at the end of last season and voila she's gorgeous! It's like two different characters. The character centric episodes were the best last season.

Apropos to the ticket discussion, I was talking with my Subway sandwich artist the other night. Subway Shawn: So yeah, I bought 2 5th row floor tickets for Motley Crue the other night and paid $700 for them. Me: Did you buy them through a scalper or StubHub etc? Subway Shawn: Nope! Ticketmaster was selling them for $350 each. Me: Oh! That's just Ticketmaster reselling tickets on their own webpage. Subway Shawn: Nope! That's how much Ticketmaster was selling them for! I highly doubt that Motely Crue would be selling floor tickets for $350 each, but the point is that obviously some peo

I can't agree with that assessment, since a good bulk of the characters have returned, but are in a different location. The tone is a bit lighter too, until the third episode where certain people are being run over. The Garvey family decide to pack it up and move to a small Texas town where no one departed. The problem is that this town has some very unique things about it. And I think you checked out before some of the best episodes last season. I was almost out during the slow second & third episode, but decided to see where the story wound up.

I scored Boston Orpheum Orch Center Row K Seat 207 at 10:01am. I don't like how the seats that you pull come up at the bottom of the screen in a smaller font than everything else on the screen. I keep expecting that at the top of the screen.

I have all but the final 2 episodes of Season 1 thanks to my DVR pulling some shit. I'll have to get the disc on NetFlix. I had to go through the whole schedule to find them early in the morning this past month. For some reason, the reruns on FX wouldn't show up using the search function on the new X1 platform. It showed them to rent/buy for $2.99. I'm loving this new season of The Leftovers. Each episode has shown a different perspective: 1) the Murphys, 2) the Garveys and 3) Laurie Garvey & the Guilty Remnants.

Maybe Wilco puts city names into a random name generator?

A friend of mine recommended Wild Tales (Relatos Salvajes) which is an anthology film from Argentina. It you ever wanted to know what The Twilight Zone movie would have been like if Quentin Tarantino directed it, then you should seek this one out. It also reminded me a bit of Black Mirror. It's a black comedy with 6 short stories told over 2 hours. The brisk pacing makes it delightful to watch. Although, you have to hit IMDB or Wikipedia for the names of the short stories or wait until the end credits. I finally watched The Phantom Of The Paradise which i fucking loved. It's a shame that th
