I think those were outtakes from A Ghost Is Born. Or was it The Wilco Book? I guess they were sorta the same sessions. I’m way more excited for a possible AGIB deluxe edition. I feel like we’ve heard everything from the YHF era with the 2 sets of demos that circulated, but I hope that’s not the case.

Wilco - 2021-08-08 Red Butte Garden - Salt Lake City, UT

Thanks for the recap and taping! Someone posted a really blurry pic of the setlist and it looks like The Late Greats and Spiders were on the setlist to open the encore. That’s great news if they decide to release every show from this tour. FWIW, I woke up last night at 3am on the east coast and I checked WilcoWorld for the setlist and it was there. It’s under the show info where they list the set times. That might be the new norm. -
I agree! It’s really big news to have 2 new songs to listen to this year. Plus, the Sleater-Kinney cover. I kinda want to ask over in the FB group, but that usually leads to asking if someone can post the song or if someone can pick up the vinyl. I’ll continue to be patient.

Wilcoworld posted last night’s setlist under the show info. I never thought of checking there, until someone mentioned it. I didn’t see anything either on the places that you brought up.

Weird that Nic Cage was also brought up in The Thin Red Line review, in regards to David Gordon Green’s Joe. I just saw Pig the other night and thought that it was great. Cage is really terrific here. I only knew of the basic plot. I told a friend it would be like if A24 had made the John Wick films. It has that type of rhythm to it. I won’t discuss the themes of the film because that would spoil the overall experience. (Available to rent on VOD. It’s not $19.99 either which was a relief.)

Yes! Yes! Yes! I saw this when I was about 20. I went out to a theater that was playing it in December, before it hit a wider release in January. My mind was completely blown. The score, the cinematography, the narration. I didn’t think that you could make a war film like that. Keep in mind that Saving Private Ryan had just come out 5 months prior, so this was a completely different experience. It didn’t bother me at all that certain actors had one or two scenes and then they disappeared from the film. That felt very realistic to me. I’ll show some love for Cusack who I thought was a

Here’s the Wilco single that you’re talking about. The b-side is I Can’t which I’ve never heard of either. It’s possible that it’s been played on TTS. I don’t have this in my hands, but I’m the one that asked about this other mystery 7 inch because Paul mentioned it in his recap. Another person in the thread mentioned that there’s a bundle deal if you buy both 7 inch singles.

Sometimes it pays off to be a night owl. I decided to check Nugs after midnight and was surprised to find that the 2008 Cain’s Ballroom show was added today. I don’t remember which songs from this show made it on the Ashes DVD, but the setlist looks killer. Off to listen to some of it now.

Jeff Tweedy - Rivets Stadium, Loves Park, IL 7-3-21

I noticed that the FB page for Jeff had Let’s Go Rain for the first Hunter Center show. I’m guessing that most artists have someone that grabs the setlist to post it to FB/social media without keeping track of any additions or subtractions. This seems to happen with lots of bands. -
Jeff Tweedy — 19 July 2021, Charlton, MA (Tree House Brewing Company)

Yes! That song really came to life in the Hunter Center. It seemed to quiet the entire crowd & hold their attention. The lyrics are fantastic. It has that vibe of being an album closer. Yep, another great review, Paul. -
Thank you! Life lesson: I had the volume down low at the very beginning assuming that I could go back and rewatch it right after. The heavy throttling put an end to that. I’m glad though that it was fixed for the rest of the show. I’m guessing this is where Susie refreshed our memories on Eric. I knew that he looked familiar. I had a good laugh realizing that it’s most likely a road manager (duh!) coming into a backstage area and not the manager of a venue. Lol “Hey, Tweedy, what are you doing on the couch? We got a show to do here!” - manager of a venue.

Tonight’s episode will start at 7pm EST/6pm CST for some “backstage shenanigans”, according to Susie’s IG post.

The Tweedy Show Episode 196 Sunday July 17 Live from Hunter Center @ Mass MoCa. Susie is amazing to share this with everyone again. If you can only watch one of these two shows, I highly recommend this one! I don't know if the flexibility of the audience rubbed off on the show, but it felt like it with the setlist which was terrific and different than last night. Everything felt laid back and Jeff was very talkative.

The Tweedy Show Episode 195 Saturday July 17 Live from Hunter Center @ Mass MoCa in North Adams, MA Thanks once again to Susie for putting her arm(s) on the line for the clients! I will remove the spoiler tags, once Paul Suwan makes his recap. I figure that’s fair.

I did a little recap of the 20 minute soundcheck that Susie was kind enough to share. I used spoiler text in case there’s people that want to be surprised. You can find the spoiler button in the toolbar. It’s the little eye next to the quote button.

Susie just filmed some of the sound check inside the Hunter Center @ Mass MoCa. I was out food shopping and missed most of it, but it sounded like they were doing Jesus Wept. Mass MoCa Soundcheck Saturday July 17

So...I’ve also wondered what early song this was. Anyways, I was listening to a recent show on Nugs.net and I Might came on and the drums were very prominent in the mix. The drumming sounded extremely similar to this song that was featured in the 7 Worlds Collide doc. It’s entirely possible that that was I Might in an early form. The Sun Came Out is currently streaming on Tubi, if you’re curious. That recent show was the third night at Sky Blue Sky.

We’re not the only ones with this issue. A few of my friends are in the same boat. I’m wondering if it’s because it’s mostly a silent movie. I don’t remember much about The Artist either. I can’t recall any specific scene. I remember a dog being in it.

I think Jeff wants to hit 200 episodes before the band hits the road. I believe the plan is to return to some sort of format, once the touring ends. Susie addressed this in episode 191 from last Monday, if you want to hear her say it. I might be mixing up a detail or two...
