  1. I'm cool with it....that song makes me happy. Jeff played it once at a soundcheck, for my daughter, and we sang lustily along. Happy memories.
  2. "Just a Kid" is the 13th track?
  3. I would bet it turns up over there, but if not, you should feel free to ask me for help in getting it. Once it is available, that is.
  4. When our dear m.chris responds and says "It's holding a teacup", the proper response is, "That's not what we called it in my day!"
  5. GO DAVE GO! And get a recording so that those of us way out here on the left coast can hear you, too!
  6. Two is such a grand & uninhibited age!
  7. Happy birthday! Let's have cake, shall we? Have a great day & a great year!
  8. I'm pretty sure English is not this poster's native language. I believe he meant to say that Sky Blue Sky is an album that will last. I agree. Probably beyond our lifetimes. Good call, joshsirjoshules!
  9. See, this is how it begins. Look at the girl's post count!
  10. I too love Eef. Amaranthine, I can send you some Clem Snide if you like. Llynn, I wish we had gotten to meet at that infamous Springfield show. We seem to share similar tastes, as I've noticed from some of your other posts. Do you like Mountain Goats? Admittedly his voice isn't for everyone, but I love his lyrics, and I'm hooked on "Get Lonely".
  11. So my 20-yr-old, Tom, has been working like a dog at both a job and a grueling academic schedule, with a neuroscience major. His classes this quarter were psychology, statistics, Biology, and Organic Chemistry. The Bio has a separate 3-hr. lab each week, and the Chem has a separate 4-hr. lab each week. Between these classes and his job, Tom has spent the quarter (UC's are on the quarter system....moves fast! ) pretty stressed and always somewhat sleep deprived. Poor kiddo. Anyway, finals were this week, and although he had pulled some very respectable midterm grades, he was still really wor
  12. Well dearest, as you were actually at the show, I think you could be said to have already heard the "definitive version", yes?
  13. OOH! OOH! I know this one!!! It's from some joke Jeff & Jay used to banter back & forth about, "Some are teeth and some ain't"......which evolved into "Summerteeth". What do I win??? Somebody probably knows the story a bit better than my version...
  14. Oh yes it is......it's being patiently and painstakingly labored over to produce perfection. You will love it when it emerges. A great recording was gotten, by folks who know what they're doing!
  15. Oh, and for the sake of attempting to remain on topic, I made the most delicious big vat of Irish Beef Stew last night, with fabulous broth and the beef simmered until it melted in your mouth, it was so tender. I doubled the recipe....with growing children in the house, it's necessary! But now there's a goodly amount of leftovers, so perhaps I can skip cooking tonight. Yippee!
  16. The only legitimate use of "Marco Polo" is locating your wayward children in big stores. Works great for us.
  17. I know....I couldn't get over how much he didn't look like his avatar.
  18. "In the sty"? So very sly.
  19. Be warned; this place is a sort of addiction. But as addictions go, it's a pretty nice one.
  20. Welcome to VC, humbum. Nice first post!
  21. You must, I repeat must, share the recipes for this. Oh my it sounds wonderful. Actually I guess it's all more or less self-explanatory, except would you detail the chicken instructions, and the potatoes & mushrooms, if there's any specifics we should know? I'm going to short out this computer if I don't stop reading this thread.
