  1. Dave, I'm with you on this for the most part, but who's paying for it?
  2. Ok, Johnny, I have it up to 11 and the neighbors have started circulating the petition....I agree that loud is definitely called for. I think I may be beginning to go deaf in my left ear though, the one toward the player. Worth it, though!
  3. Jeff: "When we're not sure we're not alone" A kidsmokian translation: We think maybe there's somebody else around here. (Maybe we're just a little paranoid, but hey, let's check the coat closet and behind the shower curtain anyway.) This has been a kidsmoke Public service Announcement. You're welcome.
  4. Cheers to Jesse, who brings us all so much Wilco video goodness!!! I bring you virtual cake for all your hard work. I hope you are in a sharing mood because this cake looks pretty virtually delicious! Have a perfect birthday followed by an amazing year of life! I'm sure your next year will bring you wonderful things, as you so deserve.
  5. So it's true about Jeff replacing Rosie?
  6. Ah...thank you Chris, I'd forgotten that had been made. You earn every cent of your moderator salary!* *Uhhhhh....such as it isn't.... Let me reword that....I appreciate you!
  7. Good luck, but please don't use our forums to personally advertise yourself. We've been having a problem with this lately. Be a member of VC, take part in our discussions, let people get to know you as a person. Let people discover your music through knowing you first......absolutely a better strategy.
  8. Here Sweetie, have another slice & some lovely cookie-dough ice cream. I miss you like crazy. At least we get together when Sarah has a birthday party!
  9. Happy Birthday, Sarah! I hope your day was wonderful! Cake for everybody in Sarah's honor! Anybody nemo cake?
  10. Juice. Orange juice, cranberry-raspberry juice, pomegranate-blueberry juice, white grape juice, etc. And onions. A world without onions is a world not worth living in.
  11. HEY!!! You might need to turn that down a little, I could hear it all the way in California. Not that I minded.
  12. Happy Birthday, baby boy! Have a wonderful, fun day celebrating your son, thrillcat!
  13. Oh, OW! Do not rub your eyes or nose! My neighbor once chemically burned both her hands by seeding and dicing up a mess of jalapenos that she wanted to put in the freezer.....she started to be in so much pain that her husband had to take her to the hospital, and she came home with both hands wrapped in full bandages as though she had plunged them into boiling water. It was about a week before they were better! Use gloves, they say.
  14. I'm going to make this soup too. And based on Graham's experience, I'm going to make it wearing gloves. Did you remember the cilantro, Graham?
  15. Oh Yeah! "Beautiful Loser" too. I think, unfortunately, that all people know him for now are his "Like a Truck Rock" ads.....which, hey, give the guy a break...he's getting older and has a family to support. I guess I can understand how he'd want to earn that advertisement money.
  16. Bees can't swim, so it's all going to work out fine. Everybody calm down. In all seriousness, this stuff scares the crap outta me. We have some incredible hurtles ahead.
  17. I do think early Bob Seger is unappreciated. So sue me. But before you do, please put on "Ramblin' Gamblin' Man" & turn it up to 11. Then play "Back in 72". Then play "Katmandu", just because. A bit louder please. OK, thank you.
  18. Oh no no, Donna is all out of sorts, it might turn out like head cheese or pimento loaf....Lou, you be a smart chap & enjoy what Dunja has whipped up for you. It's that, or a Hostess Twinkie or possibly far worse! The happy birthday wishes are there, that's the important thing!
  19. Ahhh, Jen & Al.....this looks fabulous. I'm so happy for all your happiness! Ain't love grand?!!!
  20. Well I was going to make a cake but Dunja beat me to it! Have the most wonderful of birthdays, Lou!
  21. Thanks, Froggie! Thoughtful of you!
  22. Holy crap, people, I know it's a full moon, but let's bring it down a notch! Yank, please understand that what Rob (at WilcoBase) does is a labor of love, and utterly unpaid. Rob's a busy guy & we are all very lucky that he provides us with all that he does. That said, I think part of the problem here is that on a message board, tone can be hard to determine. I think you were just wishing aloud, but your tone may have hit Aricandover as being demanding or whiny. Aricandover, I think what you had to say could have been said less caustically, however much you disagree with yankhotelfox.
  23. Very nice! Thanks for sharing!
