Whether it's a cave or a cage, kids don't belong trapped in them. I am overjoyed that these boys and their coach are all safe. The odds seemed so stacked against them, and I can only imagine how exhausted their rescuers are. RIP to the diver who lost his life making sure these kids survived. Now let's work on freeing the caged ones. Don't sit on the sidelines and watch. Each of us can help drive the changes that must happen. Do your bit.

I don't know how much the rest of you are following this story, but this situation is claustrophobia-inducing just to read about. I can't imagine how it feels to live what those boys and their coach are experiencing. Thoughts and prayers aren't the fashionable thing these days, but those kids are in mine. I hope by some blend of expertise, superhuman effort, and luck, the rescuers succeed.

Wow! You are having a stellar day!

Thank you for marching! My husband and I marched in L.A. and as usual, the march gave me back my faith in humanity! There are many, many good and decent Americans who oppose the travesties of this government. PS - I love your hat!

I love that piece, and I agree. See you all at the rallies on Saturday.

I'm so sorry, Jon. It's painful and you find yourself with so many things you wish you could say to him. Say them to him anyway and trust that somehow he hears.

Great video! Thanks for sharing it, Mike!

And it hurts harder still that it was a suicide. At only 61. You never know what pain someone else is dealing with. Err on the side of compassion. RIP, Anthony. Thanks.

We Wilco fans stick together. I will be donating and I hope others are also moved to help! Hang in there, Dustin. We are all pulling for you.

But it would absolutely be good "dumb" fun!

John Mullvaney is a pretty funny guy. I loved the horse-in-a-hospital bit! I need to see more of him.

I loved It Follows. Creepy as hell!

This is next on my reading stack!

That sounds fun!

Please tell me this isn't real. It's hard to tell with trump. And Obama likes Wilco, so trump must hate them, in order to remain loyal to his base.

That's really cool! Let us know if you are chosen! Those are such amazingly good apples! Good luck! I've got a whole mess of little Bacon Avocados growing this year...this little tree's first crop. And yes, "Bacon" is actually the name of the variety, but it always makes me crave a BLT with avocado.

But I'll bet your driveway looks spectacular!

This new line might make a sweet tattoo: "Wouldn't you rather live on an ocean of guitars?"

With so much love for all of you mothers out there, and everyone who has filled that role for a stepchild, or a neighbor kid, or a relative, or anyone who needed a mother. Every long, hard mothering moment you spent was loved, even if not at the time. We love you, beyond words. Keep making the world a sweeter, saner, more sensible place. You remind us of what matters.

Now I'm not really a tattoo person myself, though I can admire them on other people...just not my particular thing. But I was thinking the other day about tattoos that are expressions or phrases, and I was wondering what bit of Jeff's lyrics I would choose if I were to have a Wilco-inspired tattoo done. So many spring to mind...that boy can really turn a phrase! I haven't decided on my imaginary tattoo yet, though I'm leaning toward "Exactly what do you want me to be?" So my question to you all out there in WilcoLand is this: If you got a tattoo of a phrase from Wilco's lyrics, what phra

I think we need a topic called "Songs You Can't Figure Out Why You Don't Like". Then I would say, "Hell is Chrome". I don't know why. It has wonderful elements but just leaves me unmoved. Please don't all attack at once.

Kraut-rock (album) version, or acoustic version? Or both?

This president is completely braindead and crooked, and is willing to sacrifice the entire planet to protect his narcissistic ego. He will soon have our economy collapsed and wars begun. We need to fight him tooth and nail. I've thought this too.
