Do you mean the Freightyard Pub? I kept calling that The Railyard until it finally stuck in my head. Great place!

Hmmmm...I'm like Wilco Me, in that my choices depend on what day you ask me (or even what hour) but I think these are worthy contenders: More Like the Moon - So pretty it makes me swoony Handshake Drugs - I find this song addictive (no pun intended), especially live and I'll join you in the criminally underrated Wishful Thinking That said, I have to add that I appreciate so much how Wilco have opened up their vast catalog and are playing all of these at least now and again!

That's all...I hope you've all had a thoroughly beautiful Easter, with bright blue skies, Spring weather, and enough chocolate to satisfy everyone.

I'd have liked to have seen that!
-
I LOL'd. Too bad that folkgirl probably has him pegged, though. Damn, I wish I could be at this show. BRAVO, Wilco!

Seriously, we need to get a "like" button for this place! Beautifully said, and I couldn't agree more.

Hey Muzzle of Dan! I was just looking at this thread again and realized that I'd done that thing where you thought-answer somebody, but only do it in your mind and later realize that you never actually really did it. So embarrassing. So let me say now what I thought I already had, which is that it was so fun to see you again and share that terrific edge-of-stage finale with you and your lovely lady. Did she ever manage to snag a setlist? See you next time around! I agree with you about the shows, too...despite the terminally-seated L.A. crowd, I had a fantastic time at both nights. -
Absolutely, the mods have opinions on this behavior, and are monitoring this thread. We have chosen thus far to allow this conversation to continue, warts and all, because it is a really valuable conversation, and the members of this community have handled themselves and all troll-like commentary with dignity and informed, reasoned responses. I've been really impressed with that, and with the way baiting has been largely ignored. I love that article you've quoted and have been sharing it myself on facebook. Thanks for bringing it here.

Sometimes I wish VC had a "like" button. Good for you, Colin.

Pence is only caving to the pressure, so good for all who have helped to put pressure on him. Hwllo, in no way was my "no personal insults" comment directed at you.
-
Folks, let's refrain from personal insults and try to make our points without behaving offensively. We're adults here and hopefully capable of reasoned discussion. (So there's no misunderstanding, I say this to everyone involved in this thread, not directed at anyone in particular.) Hwllo, your post had me thinking that I can't fully appreciate some things....not being black, I can't imagine completely what it feels like to be racially profiled during a routine traffic stop. I know as a woman that even the most sensitive male can't quite get inside how it feels to be a woman who needs to wal

Great reviews, H. Stone and bbop! Thanks for letting me be there vicariously. Love the "Rotate!" bit. -
Oh, I thought that was an Onion bit...

All my respect, Wilco. It may only be a drop in the bucket of resistance, but enough drops are all that has ever overcome any injustice. I hope other bands, individuals and businesses will show the courage of their convictions as Wilco has.

Totally agree, it was beautiful and intimate and so powerful! -
Well I'm just through the door tonight and thoroughly exhausted, but let me just say, AMAZING show tonight, and I can't wipe the smile off my face! I'll let someone who's had more sleep give you more details, I just wanted to say THANK YOU, Tweedy, for a terrific set yet again. Much better crowd tonight, mostly people were in their seats on time and appreciative and seemed to know the songs more than last night's audience...no outbreaks of applause at some of the songs' "false endings", which kind of stepped on the final lines last night. Jeff had some fun ragging on the previous night's lame

I've watched just the first two episodes and agree totally with you! Great stuff. I can't wait to catch up to see Mike's backstory!
-
Yep, great lineup! Thanks Wilco!!!
-
Come on, Minus 5!
-
One of these years, just to keep things interesting, Wilco should NOT announce the lineup, at all. They should let folks come for a complete mystery lineup. I know I'd go!
-
Yes, well, I can't be blamed if they change their minds at the last minute!
-
She's only saying that because I made a prediction yesterday that the lineup would be announced today! C'mon, Wilco, out with it, before you undermine my supposed psychic abilities!
-
I'm all filled to the brim with the Wilco love tonight, after this magnificent evening of Wilco's music as covered by local L.A. bands. Bravo to all the musicians who took part! I can honestly say that I was blown away by the talent and devotion shown by the various musicians. We got everything from a spunky "I'm the Man" (with a terrific female lead singer) to a moody, atmospheric "Radio Cure" to a stompingly joyous "Monday" to a roaring "Kamera", an hypnotic "Handshake Drugs", a blistering "Impossible Germany", a soaring "Pot Kettle Black", and on and on, even to a wonderfully troubadour-esq
