  8. compared to where, exactly? stumptown is a coffee roaster in portland. they have a few cafes around town, and their coffee is served in many places there. full sail ale is indeed lovely stuff!
  9. so bridget, next time i am in town and band of horses is playing we will have to meet up for some fab tunes and pints o'beer. on saturday night we went downstairs. that place is enormous!
  10. YES! after the irish snug shut we walked down to pete's in the snow and had the rockin breakfast burritos! thanks lammycat! pete seated us! also, it was 2am so the place was PACKED with drunk, loud people. we got there just before the rush. the burrito was quality!

  16. smokestack, i do love portland! i was there last week for the little bit o'snow that fell. the city has a terrific minor league baseball park. probably my favorite feature of p-town is that you can find a great beer, nay, tremendous beer on just about everycorner and you don't have to go into a bar to have one. it's a very social town. the rain can be a drag if you're not used to it, but it makes for perfect cafe/reading/conversation weather. when the place dries out a bit, everyone wants to go out and enjoy it. ah, i miss it already. did you get a chance to try the stumptown?
  17. which bookstore in arcata? i did see leroy touring with sonny smith last year. it's always terrific to see his face and hear his grooves pop up.
