  1. Well sonofabitch. I guess I am once again going to miss Andrew. Who knew tickets were already on sale? I just found out about the tour yesterday.
  2. Andrew Bird just signed with Fat Possum Records and is going back on tour this fall. I had front row tickets for his show at the Zoo this summer but ended up missing it when I went to visit a loved one at the hospital. Hopefully this will make up for it a bit, I love the Bryant Lake Bowl - it is such a great place to watch a show - very excited!
  3. How about the entire "The Tigers Have Spoken" album?!? I realize it is not her NEW album, but it was a great one and the Sadies made it all the better.
  4. ...and the 2004 SBD Matrix is up now too - Ted Leo/Rx SBD Enjoy!!
  5. 2005 show up on Dime HERE!! I will put up the 2004 show next week. Enjoy.
  6. Who went? How was it? I wanted to go so bad but the cash just wasn't there this time Let's hear all about it so I can live vicariously through VCers
  7. Agreed, I was really bummed that they didn't hit Mpls on their recent acoustic tour. Dave Grohl seriously rocks and is fun all around. As far as Halloween shows go, the lasy Dylan show I went to was in Madison on Halloween (2001 I think). It wasn't too roudy - and everyone was dressed as their favorite Dylan song.

  9. To me that is like saying "I love Spoon, but I'm not going to see Britt Daniel solo." I never got to see Grandaddy, so I jumped at the oppertunity to see Jason. The heat was bad, but only 50 people in the Fine Line and the air conditioning made it tolerable. It was still hot, but not First Ave during Golden Smog hot. In fact, I don't even think I sweat during the show!
  10. Finally got to see Grandaddy - actually it was Jason Lytle and his friend Rusty Miller - at the Fine Line on Monday. They had a few keyboards and a small casio for a drum-machine and one acoustic guitar between the two of them. The keyboards were set up on an old antique table that Jason bought when he moved to Montana. There was a small lamp in the middle of the table where the setlists were taped. Jason and Rusty would trade places depending on which keyboard Jason was playing. Rusty sang great harmonies and played a bit of percussion, guitar and keyboards, while Jason played mostly on
  11. ...This lifetime's easy, way back home there's a funeral.
  12. I think we are are also in the front row - but way off to the right side of the stage. I am hitting Grandaddy tonight - I am pretty excited about this week so far!
  13. My wife and I will be there too! She is not that much of a fan - she also doesn't like the whistling, but I am in awe of his live performances, and we both love going to the zoo to watch shows. Hopefully it will cool down a bit before the show!!
  14. If Liriano keeps this pace up he WILL win ROY and possibly the Cy Young. 12-2, 1.93 ERA, 125 Ks, 29 Walks, 3 shutouts Enough said
  15. Mountain to Sound is great - but it just sounds too much like Foo Fighters to me. Not that that is a bad thing - I love me some Foo, but it doesn't sound like Spoon to me.
  16. Welcome. All must bow down to the D. If they ever tour again, put it on your list of to see. They are hilareous and truely do rock out (as much as one can rock out acoustically). I saw them open for Weezer a few years back. They stole the show. I have been looking forward to catching them live again ever since. They have a new movie coming out soon too. clicky
  17. I thought this was the tightest song they played all night. Kraig's voice actually sounded good! Great show - I actually liked Dan's songs the best. Oh, it was also the hottest show I have ever been too.
  18. Even though it was for my wife's birthday gift...I still felt weird heading up tot he register with Air Supply - Greatest Hits.
  19. That is the truth. My wife even commented during the show that she liked the way he smiled as he sung. Again, if you get the chance to see him I ighly recommend it - and if you go and there are only 12 people, tell Chris that the couple he talked to in Minneapolis sent you!! Here is Chris' remaining schedule:
