That's the old Gabes Oasis, right? That place is tiny - that would be an awesome show! God I loved Gabes. -

I thought I heard them say the in-studio would aire on Thursday, although I could be mistaken. Just thought I would mention it in case people were looking for it later today or tomorrow. -
Since when would anyone drive through South Dakota to get from Iowa to Arizona? Why are we discussing SD tourist attractions? Iowa is south of SD. Check your geography. Utah is unbelievable - yes, Canyonlands is nice (moreso if you're a biker), but for quick hikes and a shorter drive off the interstate, Arches can't be beat. Bryce Canyon and Zion are unbeatable too. If you are planning on staying in Flagstaff I recommend passing it and hitting Sedona instead (about 20 miles south). Sedona is beautiful. If you plan on heading south on 25 in CO into NM, and heading over on I-40, I wo

Are others having trouble getting tix to the Varsity Theater show in Mpls? It says find tickets, but they are not on sale...they were suppose to go on sale at 10:00 today. -

I thought this season was toned down alot - almost as if they were getting it ready for primetime on network TV. Alot of the sex and violence was cut out. That being said, I did enjoy this season, but the finale left a bit to be desired for me - everything wrapped up in a nice little ball - no cliff hanger. Oh well, still one of the top shows on tv.

MLB 2008-09 Hot Stove League

You played 1st Base in highschool, didn't you? Scooping a ball is not that hard - with the large scoop glove, all it takes is a calculated swipe. I will say that footwork is VERY important for a first baseman, but that can be learned very quickly. The proper footwork includes which foot should be on the bag depending on where the throw is coming from and proper footwork also includes learning a good stretch - all which are relatively easy to learn. Fielding bunts is moot - the pitcher covers alot of the right side of the infield and if the ball does get to the first baseman it is an easy u -

I know its not just based on numbers - if it were A-Rod would have won another MVP. I stand by my arguement that Youk was the MVP of the Red Sucks. He came through in the clutch more than Pedroia, and while 2nd base is a much more difficult position than 1st, Youk also played 3rd base and if I am not mistaken played the outfield when they needed him last year. All around, he was their MVP. -

Sorry i am late on this topic, but Pedroia isn't even the Red Sox MVP - Youk was. Youkilis: .312 avg, .390 obp, .569 slugging, 29 HR 115 RBI, 91 Runs - Pedroia only beat him on avg and runs. Pedroia: .326 avg, .376 obp, .493 slugging, 19 HR, 83 RBI, 118 Runs. Fielding: Youk .996, Pedroia .991. Pedroia as AL MVP is a joke. -

True, he started slow in the regular season and ended great, but that doesn't change the fact that he can't win in the post season. I felt bad for him to pitch the last 3 games this year on 3 days rest, but that shouldn't be an excuse. Plenty of great post season pitchers pitch on 3 days rest and win.
