Thanks for the help. I'll wait for the show to come up on the archive as my internet is spotty at best. I appreciate it.

Just was checking the Road Case and saw that this show was up. Does anyone know where I can find an audio capture? I checked both Owl & Bear and Etree and both list only the AUD. Thanks for any help. Cheers.

It's my understanding that the Big O has been trying to get E.T. to be on her show/be an Oprah's Book Club pick for years and for years he's refused. I wonder why he changed his mind?

For those of you that consider "Unforgettable Fire" the greatest and are itching for a remaster...Paul McGuinness was just quoted in the new Rolling Stone as saying that U2 are planning to re-release all their other albums in a similar fashion (to this new JT rerelease) - Commercialism maybe, but if they come with unreleased songs and outtakes I'm not complaining.

With Ana Lucia, whats-her-name and then Mr. Eko all being killed off the season after being arrested for DUI, does this mean we lose Jin this year. Say it ain't so. (Searched for the old season thread, but couldn't find it) http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/...5701984326.html 'Lost' actor Daniel Dae Kim accused of DUI

New P.J. Harvey "White Chalk" due Sept. 24

This is one of the funniest posts I've read here in a while. 23 hours...wow...you really got a beat on the city. Seattle is a city of hidden jewels, a city of cool and quirky neighborhoods. You have to know where to go, if you just spend your time downtown (and god knows where this poster was downtown...it's like all major metro centers, it varies from boring financial hubs to old historic city blocks with unique charm) you'll absolutely NOT understand what Seattle is all about. The public transportation is good in a West Coast kind of way, meaning that the bus system will take you pret

New P.J. Harvey "White Chalk" -- yes please.

Donnie: "They were Nazi's Walter?" Walter: "Come on Donnie, they were threatening castration!...Are we going to split hairs here?" Walter: "F#@$ing Germans...nothing changes." (pretty much any line from that movie--"Eight-year-olds Dude") "Helen Hillson, she's a lawyer, she's keeping her name."

As a native I would say you are on the right track. It's what everyone does, but if I had to suggest one place I would say the Pike Place Market, remember to stop at the fresh doughnut shop, it's about 2' x 4' and sell bags of cinnamon doughnut holes for about 3 bucks or something...if you are facing the main fish-throwers go straight and then a left and it will be on your left. If you are interested in the musical history I would suggest checking out the Showbox (my personal favorite venue in Seattle and right across the street from the Pike Place Market) and the Crocodile Cafe on 2nd Ave (

...If you don't love America then get the hell out... ...If you aren't with us then you're against us... Is it wrong that I laughed at the screen name of this poster and said to myself..."ah, that makes sense"? Yes, it is wrong. I take it back...I take it all back. (turning off the TV now)

Track 1 should be the proverbial slap across the face sure, but it has and will always be Track 3 that is the most important. "One" on U2's 'Achtung Baby' "Sweet Thing" on Van Morrison's 'Astral Weeks' "Visions of Johanna" on Dylan's 'Blonde on Blonde' ("Maggie's Farm") "Living for the City" on Stevie Wonder's 'Innervisions' To name a few that come to the top of my head. I don't even think that 'important' and 'best' need to be the same. I think that slot three is the most crucial.

Smashing Pumpkins to Fans, Indie Stores: Fuck You
redpillbox replied to Tenderloin's topic in Someone Else's Song
Yeah, Bloc Party did this when they released their latest...two bonus tracks for a Target release, two bonus for the Best Buy release, a bonus song for Itunes and another one for eMusic I think....I can understand the frustration, but I bought the album once and looked at it as my right to download the other bonus songs...got a whole other 11 song disc out of it. That the bonus disc full of songs put the "official" release to shame is beside the point. -
Most Anticipated Albums

Let's not forget...let's NOT forget...Guns N' Roses - Chinese Democracy In all seriousness I'm looking forward to the new Ben Harper (August). I wasn't a big fan of his last couple of releases. They seemed a bit fragmented or mix-and-match. But, from everything I've read, this one sounds promising. Do we have a release date for the new Wolf Parade? -
For the most part I enjoyed the reviews and found about half of them pretty even-handed (whether I agreed with them or not) but the other half come across as more personal attacks rather than just giving an opinion on the music. The one review that I laughed at the most was the attack on the Doors because it read as an almost point-by-point reiteration of that scene in "Almost Famous" with Lester Bangs going on about Jim Morrison. At least have your own opinion Craig Finn. "...she gave good dirge." nice.

So, this is rather long so feel free to ignore. I haven't been the most active participant in the boards here posting-wise but have come here often, if not daily for years now. And I'm sure all of my points have already been made here someone in one of the three or four threads, but I felt compelled to add my two-cents. For me the new relationship forged between VW and Wilco is not a deal-breaker as far as my fandom is concerned. I don't even watch that much television to begin with. However, I will say that the news came as a bit of a shock to me. I'll be the first to admit I might be d

How great is PJ Harvey's "Stories from the City..."?

Great, great record...top to bottom. If you ever get a chance to check out her live show...wow! -
I just wanted to say thanks to all who were involved in this recording. Solo "Spiders" is fantastic. Cheers.

For those disappointed with the "Future" reveal...I'm thinking that that future isn't an inevitable outcome...much like Desmond can manipulate the future, I think that that is only one possible outcome...that it isn't inevitable. I also noticed the part about Jack's dad still being alive, which leads me to believe that maybe we are seeing some sort of alternate time-line or "space time continuum schism" where the series of events happened in a slightly different way....that it may not be the future that connects with the storyline we've seen up to this point, if that makes sense. That would

Did anyone notice Ben's eyes in Jacob's house before Locke turned on the light? They were freaking out...dilated beyond what is normal.

That makes a certain amount of sense to me...BUT...regardless of perspective, can anyone justify the murder of the "pit bloke" (don't remember his name; the guy the tailies kept in the pit because they thought he was The Other), stringing Charlie up, using Claire as a tool to help Juliette infiltrate their group, and by proxy, guilty of soliciting Michael to off Ana Lucia and Libby (granted their connection to this act is not direct)? I guess what I'm wary of; what I feel is being built up to, is a big switcheroo where the writers turn the tables and we are supposed to then see The Others as
