Favorite Wilco Song to NOT make a Wilco album?
MrRain422 replied to Wilco LP #7's topic in Just A Fan
Hands down the worst song Wilco has ever done, IMO. -
Bush: "I'm the decision-maker" on Iraq

Too perfect. -
Damn. Sure would be nice if they offered some sort of lower price to just give you access to one team. If I end up doing it, I'll probably be watching all sorts of games from around the league, but I'd much rather pay half that and just be able to see the Tigers. Still might do it though.

Major League Baseball has been at war with it's fans for years. Just another fine example. I'm considering MLB.tv too though. Does anyone know how much that would cost for the whole season? I tried to find info on the website, but for now they're just trying to push their off-season package (who's paying to watch spring training? Seriously), so they aren't advertising the regular rate.

The only thing from 2006 that I checked out because of year-end stuff is the Hold Steady, and it didn't really do it for me.

Haha, porn...bottom...I get it.

I'm pretty sure that he had mouth cancer.

I really like that play.

So you'll believe in a process that takes place over millions and millions of years only after you see a completely different process happen instantly? I don't understand.

Well, it's age, but also cancer.

I think a lot of them got involved in politics because of concern over one or two particular issues. The problem is that in order to get elected, they have to have opinions on everything including things they don't really have an opinion about. And then after years of spouting off bullshit about stuff they don't care about, the stuff that they do care about sort of loses its meaning to them too. Irresponsible speculation from me.

We're talking about sports here. I don't need a good reason to hate somebody.

Self-sufficiency is great, but it's just not viable without a complete re-stucturing of the American health care system. A few tweaks of the tax code isn't going to make health insurance affordable to anyone who can't afford it now.

I haven't heard too much of the new stuff. "Walken" and the solo version of "What Light". I think that's about it (other than "The Thanks I Get", but now that we know that's not going to be on the album I'm not counting it). The release of AGIB was underwhelming for me because I already knew all but maybe 2 of the songs. Trying not to spoil the newness of this one as much. And yes, I do enjoy hearing how the songs evolve over time, but those shows will still be pretty easy to find in a few months, and I can go back and listen to them evolve then, after I already know how they turned out.

Yep. I'm just hoping it happens in the primary and not the general election.

Well, she's actually from Chicago, but then became known in Arkansas. Regardless, she represents New York, and so if she picked up Kerry, the ticket would be New York/Massachusetts regardless of where she's "really" from. I know she's not really a New Yorker, but for the purposes of the election and the campaign, she is, and a ticket with two candidates from the Northeast is not going to happen under James Carville's watch. Again, I don't really agree with that philosophy so I'm not defending it; I'm just sort of stating what I think is a reality of her campaign.

No way, Hillary's not going to have a New Englander as her running mate if she gets the nomination. Remember, she's working with Jim Carville, and he's big on stressing the importance of the Dems finding roots in the south more than anyone else in the party is. He's going to pressure her big time to bring on someone from the south, whether it be John Edwards or someone else. Of course I think the need for the Dems to succeed in the south is overblown (at least in the electoral sense). This last election showed that they can be fairly successful by securing their base and focusing on some

Sounds good.

Ah, you're right. I missed the line about "a son of the Congo" and was just referring to that first line about him ("Dikembe Mutombo grew up in Africa, amid great poverty and disease"). My bad. And I did just look it up. He is from the Congo, and his full name is Dikembe Mutombo Mpolondo Mukamba Jean Jacque Wamutombo.

Seems like a reasonable request. The guy probably had no idea that anyone else could smell it. Just a courtesy to let him know, ya know?
