  1. I was at this show. How amazing is the live version of Nervous Tic? OK, the whole show was amazing, but that song in particular... damn.
  2. "I have no idea how this happens..."
  3. I told myself that I wasn't bitter when Zito signed with the Giants, but maybe I am subconsciously because I am enjoying his line from the A's game way too much: 4.0 IP, 6 H, 7 BB, 7 ER, 2 SO, 97 pitches.
  4. Don't get me started on the Saturday FOX blackout.
  5. For anyone who cares, this will be on XM 133 Saturday at 6 p.m. Eastern and Sunday at 10 p.m. Eastern.
  6. Now I can breathe through my nose!
  7. Big Sexy, perhaps? That's his nickname.
  8. See ya in four to six weeks, Mike Piazza. At this point, the only thing I can do is laugh at all of these injuries.
  9. Happy birthday! Hope you feel better soon.
  10. I would be lying if I said I thought the A's had a chance in that ninth inning, but I'll definitely take it. This is the guy who won it: http://www.lonestarball.com/story/2006/9/13/214714/993
  11. I wasn't expecting a whole lot, but watching/listening to the suckiness is annoying the crap out of me. (.654 OPS? Just... wow...) Only three times has a starter allowed more than three runs, and only once has a starter given up more than three earned runs. The bullpen, on the other hand...
  12. Last week, the A's scored 16 runs against Texas. In seven games since then, they have scored... 16 runs.
  13. It's been forever since I've listened to this. Good choice.

  15. I'm seeing him next month. It'll be my first concert of the year. I've so been slacking.
  16. My first Wilco show (12/8/01 show at the Ogden Theatre in Denver) involved the best road trip I've ever taken. One of my best friends was about to graduate and go out into the real world, and I was going to go crazy if I didn't see Wilco soon. So she and I and another friend of ours decided to drive to Denver from Wichita as a last hurrah. Some dunderhead had the idea of stopping in Dallas first to see Mercury Rev, and the other two dunderheads thought it was a great idea for some reason. Anyway, we ended up driving from Wichita to Dallas to Denver to Wichita in a little over 48 hours. By
  17. That home run made my freakin' day (which had been pretty crappy, to say the least).
  18. I always go here: http://www.insound.com/upcomingreleases.php
  19. Were you at the First Unitarian show? That was excellent. Has anyone seen Low recently? Are they playing mostly stuff from the new CD?
