My kids have been so heavily exposed to different races that I'm pretty sure they're color blind. I have to say I'm very proud. I guess it helps that they have aunts and cousins that are brown and black.

I have a ton of vacation days racked up....maybe I'll take the rest of the week off to celebrate the return of sanity to America with the election of Obama. I see the consumption of many, many Belgium beers in my near future!!

I'll be taking the next day off, fer sure.

During the mayoral elections when I lived in Chicago, I voted for a republican every time I could. Thats about it though. It would take an awful lot to make me go GOP on the federal level.

I actively resist an ordered CD shelf. My wife tried to pull that one on me once, it didnt fly. I dont mind looking for something, sometimes while doing so I'll find something that I'd like to listen to even more than my original notion. Curiously, all my rock n roll vinyl is alphabetical....the metal, country, blues jazz and whatnot isnt.

If you brown the meat first, seasoned with a little salt n pepper, it tastes a lot better.

Yes indeed it is. I prefer Wilco's live stuff. I've barely even heard much of their studio product. From what little I have heard, the live stuff is way better IMO.

People Eating Tasty Animals Sorry, couldnt resist. IMO, PETA makes environmentalists/Lefties/liberals look like a bunch of loonies. For example, PETA was recently advocating that ice cream be made out of human milk. I wish they would face up to the reality that humans are at the top of the food chain and as omnivores, we were born to eat meat. Dont get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with going vegetarian but there's also nothing at all wrong with a medium rare steak.

This is true. In the Chicago area, the Fortune 500 firms as well as the middle market ones were doing hardly ANY hiring. The dot com bust coupled with 9/11 was a pretty serious blow to the economy. 2002 was a terrible year for me. I barely managed to keep my job. The outlook for the next 12 month period looks (and feels) way more grim than it did in mid Sept 2001. Hold on folks, this is gonna be an unpleasant ride for all of us.

I took this off my list recently. Is it worth the time to watch? Btw, I went to many a metal concert throughout the 80s.
