it would be cool to have the live version of Exit and Bad from that movie.

i'm pretty sure rush is going to re-release their catalog. alex has said that Vapor Trails will be remixed. that would be interesting. -

good point. these days i'm not asking anymore than for a good production and a few catchy tunes that i remember. have only heard the single once and i could sing the chorus for you. that's a good sign. -
what voice?

i went to furthur last night. i left early, if that says anything. the little parking lot scene was cool. it was nice to hear phil and bob. also cool to hear the entire terrapin suite. but everything was played so slow and the darkstar dude is essentially a nonentity. he's so low in the mix and so hesitant to play solos. kind of frustrating. yeah, the dead were mellow, but they also had energy and magic. furthur missing that. go figure, jerry garcia is not around. he is sorely missed. it was tangible in the lot.

have only heard the single. i love the production. also love the cover. should be good. -
i like the song too. i only love a handful of his songs. i'd go for a solid 8-10 song record:)

right...if the tune is good i'll listen to a scratched up record on a crappy hi-fi :-) i can't go down that audiophile road...i'd never listen to music for enjoyment anymore.

320kbs just joking. i'm curious about headphones too. i bought what it thought were some midlevel panasonic cans a 2 years ago and they just died. finding good phones is quite a quest.

jff, there's a contingent of hipster fixie riders in decatur. they tend to congregate at Twains, of all places.

how is it? -
also makes you look cool.

unfortunately, they didn't do this with the W(TA) outtake Dark Neon. Would've liked to see a tour ep or something with some live tracks and Dark Neon at least. vinyl master vs. cd master? this makes me nuts. i've heard that the vinyl of WTA sounds warmer and less compressed. wish there was some way to hear it. or maybe i'll just forget it exists.

the bump got me to read this thread. as far as van morrison goes, i didn't know HE cancelled the remaster project. too back. i would love to check out some of his stuff from the late 80s up to present day. there's always a gem or two on each album. as far as his work at taking stuff offline, i applaud him. this shows that bands and labels can keep their stuff off line if they want. investing in that instead of suing customers may have been the way to go. as far as reissues go, right, some are good and some are bad. i enjoyed some of the remixed CDs that have come out in the last few -
they may be a guilty pleasure, but i love America. their first 5 albums are good stuff. sad to hear about this.

this sounds great. i love that picture of him. damn.

it is good for work. my problem is that i'm constantly changing my mind on what i want to hear. the age of instant gratification.
-
i was scared he was a neocon so i had to check it out. he's not. i don't think. there's some good old internet BS going on over there. boy, what did we do before we surrendered to the darkside and started commenting on blogs:) anyway, dickey is one of the best. love his tone and his melodic solos. oh so good.

recommend some good podcasts...
