  1. while i enjoy 'nuclear daydream,' 'let's just be' isn't arthur at his best, i agree. hopefully the next release will include songs such as, 'baby's got a new friend,' 'famous friends along the coast,' 'drive,' etc... i think those songs are more 'radio worthy.' with that being said, 'let's just be' is a fun album and i'll def. put it on when i need a mood lift have fun at the show solace!
  2. finally, this album's release date is here. i rushed to best buy asap after work, and made it there 6 minutes before they closed, to pick this up. the first few songs are great, still a ways to go before i get to the end. anyone else have a chance to get / listen to it? if so, what's yer thoughts?
  3. i got a ticket for ORCHR row E, i had 3 purchased but did not have enough money in my checking account to get all 3 so i just bought 1
  4. sorry if im late on this but i was browsing through a rolling stone about a week or two ago and noticed a pic of jeff on stage and the article was praising 'impossible germany' and saying its a must download, etc...is this the same issue? if so, i need to thumb thru it again!
  5. i was in dublin this past december and a friend there dragged me to a rodrigo y gabriela gig and a guy named fionn regan opened for them. if you enjoy the acoustic solo performances of jeff tweedy, you'll def. like this guy www.myspace.com/fionnregan
  6. itd be cool for them to set-up a new donation site or something to allow fans to donate once again. i'd gladly pitch in some $ as a thanks to the band for "leaking" the album, plus, i'd feel safer knowing where my money was going if Wilco was involved
  7. can someone please send me a link to the songs as well? i tried recording the stream and did so with AIM on and had no idea audacity would pick up the AIM sounds as well at least i tried....
  8. the public library would prolly be cool with you doing that as long as you save it your own disc. likewise, i wont be home to hear the stream so that would be great if these songs magically make their way to someone's harddrive i feel as tho i may be treading on sacred ground now...we should write HQ and see if its cool with them to save the stream or if they'd rather us just enjoy it for tonight
  9. i think these tracks are a breath of fresh air...i relate to them on a personal level and i honestly think they can hold their own weight against any other wilco record... even YHF. hopefully the remainder of the unleaked album will be the same
  10. sorry if this is been posted, did a quick search and came up ended handed, so i thought a few people on here may be interested in the press release: LET'S JUST BE In Stores On April 17th 2007 January 8, 2007
  11. oh man, seeing this today def. makes up for a crappy valentine's day...thanks Wilco!
  12. i agree! this song is simply amazing. if it doesnt make the cut, hopefully it'll appear as a demo track or outtake
  13. the 11+ minute version with the whole band! its the best natural high out there
  14. even the Doors used horns an album and it didn't sound that bad
  15. in addition to the mp3 of the song posted earlier, here's the video from Lollapalooza via youtube:

  17. thanks for posting this! look foward to reliving that great night btw, were you the guy who pointed out that there was a wasp up my shirt?
  18. there's really not much to do around here! if you're into the party scene, it'd be cool to check out glenwood ave. in downtown raleigh, as they have a lot of kickin' clubs and resturants ( go around 10 pm) or if you like shoping, you might wanna check out hillsborough st. in the middle of the ncsu campus, there's a few nice used book stores, head shops, various eateries, etc... around there plus, there's always the art museum and a few parks around if you feel like relaxing
  19. thanks again for those who were in charge of taping/ sharing this! man, i cant get over how cool 'Walken' sounds when performed acoustic
  20. very neat, thanks for sharing those songs. sounds like everyone had an excellent time
  21. this kinda reminds me of something jack kerouac would say. if you read his essays "some of the dharma" he mentions that he needed to stay away from this type of thing (drugs/ alcohol) then almost contradicted himself by saying that it was ok to drink only while alone and that the ol' buddhist monks use to drink while working the fields
