  1. They released the complete San Quentin show a few years ago. I think Folsom was recorded back in '68 and went to #1, so they decided to record another prison album and chose San Quentin to play at in '69. think that one hit #1 as well.

  4. I agree with this statement. however, I'm holding out for Cardinology to take over my #1 spot on Oct. 28. come to think of it, this has been an excellent year for music. a Wilco release, be it CD or DVD, woulda been the cherry on top of the ice cream for me...ah well, we still got some great shiz tho!
  5. anyone read them "excerpts" from RA's new, soon-to-be-released book? if not, here they are! by the way, I lifted this from the RAA...: found this a while ago on tobeyoung - not sure as to the legitimacy of the statements but if nothing else it is interesting--if anyone can back this up it would be great- if not enjoy Re: Infinity Blues The knockers have started already. Poor Ryan. Quote: A sneak-peek at Adams' short story collection, due in 2009. BY RANDY HARWARD So Ryan Adams is diversifying: he's gonna issue a collection of prose via Brooklyn-based fringe publisher Akashic Book

  10. Angels and Airwaves are a pretty good band. their lead singer was the guitarist/ singer for Blink-182. never been much of a Weezer fan myself...have fun at the show, it should be fun regardless!
  11. are you talking about the 88.1 station? ever since I got that radio connection thingy for my ipod, I've stopped listening to the radio but I may need to start again!
  12. I've never seen a setlist with so many American Beauty songs on it. I wonder why they never played many songs off of this album? IMO, its their best.
  13. there seems to be a Doors tune for every season. right now its 'Summer's Almost Gone.' Morning found us calmly unaware Noon burned gold into our hair At night, we swim the laughin' sea When summer's gone Where will we be
  14. yea, me too. they must have a real love/ hate relationship. might be better if Adams starts his own record label to release what he wants when he wants sorta like Joseph Arthur did.
  15. ya know, I had never listen to this album, well, maybe once, before reading this article, now I find myself listening to it all of the time. the songs like 'Burning Photographs,' 'Wish You Were Here,' 'Anybody Wanna Take Me Home' and 'So Alive' are great rock songs despite what the haters say.

  18. speaking of Egypt...has anyone purchased the Winterland 1973 set? I'm very tempted to but just can't bring myself to do it yet. if anyone has it, how's it sound/ look (artwork, etc.)?
  19. I saw the Doors (of the 21st Century) play the entire L.A. Woman album from top to bottom in one night at Virginia Beach back in '03. it was also the first time it had ever been played in its entirety since their singer, Jim Morrison, passed away a few months after recording it.
  20. I had this! also had the MC Hammer haircut for a while back in 1st-2nd grade.
  21. same here! I was 17 at the time I read that review during the summer of '02. right after I put that RS issue down, I was downloading IATTBYH. I didn't really get into them that much until I picked up Adult Head at a local book store in '04 and seeing them live like a month later. it was then that everything fell into place. ps: anyone know where I can find that Rolling Stone review of YHF? all I know is that it came out around the summer of '02...
