Bright Eyes - Cassadaga Starting to come around to about five or six songs on this, but a lot isn't very good. First three tracks = great, last four tracks are solid enough. The rest is pretty blah.

EMI and Apple to sell non copy-protected music
explodo replied to Col. Hapablap's topic in Someone Else's Song
Kind of stupid that we have to pay more for two things that should have always been there (or, in DRM's case, not been there). -
I think some people might argue with that.

I said songs, dude. Field recordings ain't not songs.

Olivia Tremor Control - Dusk @ Cubist Castle

He does, indeed. Mr. Mangum is also still recording songs and such according to bundles of sources. He's the J.D. Salinger of rock n' roll. We're all just waiting until he dies.

I am in that club. Already over this voxtrot and the new bright eyes, patiently waiting for something good to happen. It sucks because this year has already been really great and I'm forgetting that.

What a lame hoax to pull. You should at least make it something might possibly fall for.

To the first question, not a chance. As for the second bit, have you ever heard a Bright Eyes album? They all open in a similar way. And at the end of the Bright Eyes song "Neely O'Hara," he uses what I think is a chunk of the Conet Project, meaning Bright Eyes did it first. And finally, Digital Ash is wonderful. Personally, I hope he never buries that side. Doing so would just mean he's settling for what people think he should be (next Dylan, apparently).

Musically, fer shizzle.

I am pretty sure I won't get to any of these. Sucks.

I hate the way he sings on this record and the Four Winds EP. Seems pretty poor so far, especially lyrically, but maybe it will grow on me. Growing up ain't done him no good. Or maybe growing up ain't done me no good. Saw some comments over on Oink that I'm Wide Awake and this record seem like they lack passion and while I'm not sure that's true, they certainly lack any sense of urgency/unpredictability. This just plods along.

I believe his exact words were "half done," but same idea. Unless they scrap it like dBpm, it will be sooner rather than later.
-
What is that? I mean, obviously Band of Horses, but what is it?
-
And if you didn't, I'd assume you'll still have it by the weekend. And Kris, I'm going to kill you. For serious.
-
Yeah, it has been removed because the lone seeder left and never came back. False alarm, peeps.

I wish I had HD for this. I watched some of it. Three hours was a little much to take in. Lame that they added sound effects in spots and had some fake snow in a shot. Oh, and Sigourney could stop boasting about their cameras.

This has been on the shelf for awhile here.

Depends on where you are in the world.

Bright Eyes- Four Winds. Remembering why I don't like this EP. Saddle Creek is sure doing a good job keeping the full-length under wraps, too. We're less than two weeks away, I think. People that pre-ordered it should be getting it soon, though.

Did He get that laptop from a library or something? A - I thought he was a Mac man and B - what is with the white sticker in the top corner? Looks like a bar-code or something.

Why does Greg Oden get to stay in the game with blood all over himself? And Tennessee, nice job blowing the game. Good lord, your second half was awful. Fuck, fuck, fuck.

10 out of 10, too. That was way too easy.
