  1. I have two friends of mine who are looking for tickets for tonight. They are only willing to spend $25 a ticket but I told them I would keep an eye out for them. Seats can be in the Bowl....I will be at the venue around 430-5 if you got extras...or send me a post here....
  2. I think you missed alot. REM's later albums although not as good ad the IRS stuff is still miles beyond other bands IMHO! They really started to expierement from 1994-2008. Each album was something different with them. Give New Adventures a listen and UP (Quie the transition form one album to another).
  3. Ugggh great deal! Wish I could get them from you but I am in NJ!
  4. If it is any conselation there is no thing as a quick drive to or from NYC. Coney Island though only 10 miles or so away would take 45 minutes by subway or an hour and half by car in rush hour....
  5. June of what year? If so I go with.... 1985 Fables of the Reconstruction Released: June 10, 1985 We were thinking the same thing PS. Ghost and Mermaid 1 were also released in June...also still going with Fables...
  6. Everyone is entitled to their opinons but here is how I would rank all the proper albums by both bands... keep in mind my 3 favorite bands are REM, Radiohead then Wilco 1) Automatic 2) Murmur 3) Reckoning 4) Fables 5) Being There 6) Summerteeth 7) Life's Rich Pagent 8) Yankee 9) Green 10) New Adventures 11) Monster 12) Document 13) Accelerate 14) A.M. 15) Out of Time 16) Wilco (The Album) 17) UP 18) Ghost 19) Reveal 20) Around
  7. I don't think it was approporiate to applaud when the coffin came into the arena (seemed like a strange response) and the random hoots and hollars were strange...but then again this is a unique event.
  8. I hope Ultra Violet, MLK and Unforgettable Fire stay till September!!
  9. Yeah Mass drivers are bad too...maybe number 6...Connecticut and Florida should be on the list too!
  10. I would say top 5 worse from driving in each state several times are: 1. Maryland (They slow down to about 1 mph to make any turn, even coming off a highway!) 2. Pennsylvania (Clueless drivers...rapid or extremley slow lane changes) 3. New York (Never any signals and very erratic) 4. California (Too fast!!!) 5. New Jersey (Insane with a me first attitude....good thing about NJ if they are going to cut you off they do it quickly and get out of the way!) Sure it is a generalization but this is from my expierence!
  11. I used to be a big fan of From Good Homes but just can't get into Railroad Earth....Todd Sheaffer is a great talent though....
  12. If they are right it helps them become more legitimate?
  13. I kind of feel that way too?? They are the only ones reporting it for the last 15 minutes?! Still it can't be good..
  14. Yikes... http://www.ktla.com/news/landing/ktla-michael-jackson,0,4138163.story
  15. Sigur Ros (Esp Vidrar Vel, track 7 on Ageatis) and Elliott Smith will do...
  16. Nice setlist. I hope Shouldn't be Ashamed becomes a regular! I wonder when Wilco is going to do a three night run in NYC...have they ever?
  17. I kind of get where they are coming from but this seems a little crazy. Could be worse if people don't know where they are going?! http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/21/new-jersey-bill-aims-to-ban-drivers-use-of-gps-while-driving/?icid=main|htmlws-main|dl4|link6|http%3A%2F%2Fwww.autoblog.com%2F2009%2F06%2F21%2Fnew-jersey-bill-aims-to-ban-drivers-use-of-gps-while-driving%2F
  18. http://www.nme.com/news/various-artists/45511 Gorbachev rocked the mic a few days ago...any tapers?
  19. Plus keep in mind many people in the rest of the USA have to probably go 5 hrs+ to see a Wilco show...I don't think you will get much sympathy here..
  20. Wilco barley plays NJ but I make it work. California's problem is there is no mass transit...you should try to car pool and check out craigslist for lats minute tickets. I am sure you can shave off money that way. I am dreading going out to Brooklyn which may take me up to 2 hours to get to but it will be worth it!
  21. Sad news...she passed away. http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/05/26/arizona.tyson.daughter/index.html
