  1. With all due respect to roadhse ma, I just can't in good conscience post the Boston setlist in a thread that egregiously titled. So maybe a kindly moderator can somehow merge our two threads... Anyway, in case the complete setlist was never posted in that webcast thread (or if anyone just wants an easier place to find it), here it is: —"The Price Is Right" theme music intro— Wilco (the song) Bull Black Nova You Are My Face IATTBYH> One Wing A Shot in the Arm One By One Either Way Company In My Back Sonny Feeling Handshake Drugs Impossible Germany It's Just That Simple California Sta
  2. I figured it wasn't worth posting a setlist since somebody probably already would have somewhere in this thread. (Though I guess it could be a little hard to find in this insanity!) But I guess I'll start a thread in After The Show with the complete setlist...
  3. I'll let someone else try to describe Mike's synth ode to the "Easter Bunny, but that organ solo during "California Stars" is pretty hilarious, especially when you're used to hearing the deep, rich tone of the Hammond. I guess it's some sort of pipe organ sample or something; the first time he used it, I think it even caught Jeff a little by surprise because he cracked up and sort of missed his cue to start singing again. As far as the Michael McDonald thing, it was just at the end of "Too Far Apart" when Jeff sings "Couldn't be any closer to you..." in that silly falsetto. In Providence, h
  4. Great to see you as well, sir! Glad you enjoyed the show, and I'll see you soon (I hope)... Not to respond to my own post, but just a couple of tidbits about the show... *Got a glance at the printed setlist and they changed up the "acoustic" set a bit from what was planned. The printed list indicated this for the acoustic portion: Spiders (Kidsmoke) What's The World Got In Store How To Fight Loneliness Forget The Flowers Country Disappeared Laminated Cat Passenger Side *I think my favorite moment in tonight's show might have been a tie between Pat's Michael McDonald imitation at th
  5. Setlist update (to the few who care): A taper friend of mine checked in with me and informed me that Hummingbird came after Broken Arrow. So I've updated the setlist I posted at the start of this thread and it should now be completely accurate. Once again, sorry for the screwup.
  6. Gracias! The title formatting is key! Several of you will be glad to know I didn't have any incidents on I-95 in Connecticut this time. Anyway, here you go...the complete setlist, as played, for the Providence show: —"The Price Is Right" theme music intro— Wilco (the song) Bull Black Nova You Are My Face IATTBYH> One Wing Radio Cure Sonny Feeling Summer Teeth> Misunderstood She's A Jar Handshake Drugs Impossible Germany California Stars Poor Places> ----into acoustic set---- Spiders (Kidsmoke) What's The World Got In Store War On War Forget The Flowers Heavy Metal Drummer Laminat
  7. I think it might actually have been 60 total because I screwed up and left one song off the Night One setlist: Hummingbird. So if your guys' math is correct, then you should probably go back and add 1. Sorry.
  8. Special to Tamala: The rainbow SG appeared for the entire encore in Montclair tonight (Night Two)!
  9. I know they did it once at the Residency (2-19-08, to be precise). Wilcobase also indicates that they did it at the 4-18-09 show at the Tennessee Theatre in Knoxville. Those are the only two times I can find before tonight's show. Other than Outta Mind (Outta Sight)/Outtasite (Outta Mind) thing, the setlist posted by Treece is accurate. He/she doesn't note the transitions, which is not a big deal. I just happen to love the Summer Teeth>Misunderstood (where the Summer Teeth 'oohs' extend on for a bit until Glenn starts into the drums for Misunderstood) that's happened a couple of times re
  10. Sorry about the Hummingbird omission, but thanks for the correction. I edited my setlist post. That's what happens when you're kind of tired and forgetful. Anyway, they definitely played Side With The Seeds. And I'm almost certain Hummingbird came in after I'm The Man Who Loves You. It was definitely later in the show, after the acoustic set. When one of the recordings comes out, we can verify.
  11. Certainly don't take my word as gospel on this one, but I hear it was Feed of Man.
  12. Here was the complete setlist, as played, for Night One in Montclair: —"The Price Is Right" theme music intro— Wilco (the song) Bull Black Nova You Are My Face IATTBYH> One Wing Via Chicago Company In My Back Handshake Drugs Side With The Seeds Pot Kettle Black Nothing'severgonnastandinmyway(again) I'll Fight Impossible Germany California Stars Poor Places> ----into acoustic set---- Spiders (Kidsmoke) More Like The Moon Forget The Flowers Someday, Some Morning, Sometime Laminated Cat War On War Passenger Side> ----out of acoustic set---- Airline To Heaven A Shot in the Arm Jesus,
  13. Now that was a crazy — and great — show (the last night of the Kicking Television run at the Vic in '05)! I think that's what you're referring to anyway, Froggie? But in terms of length and number of songs, I think they've actually done longer on this "Evening With..." tour.
  14. Sorry, I guess you were just a little too quick in your reply! The complete setlist is up there now. And they also did Thank You Friends in memory of Alex (as they've done every show on this tour). But they had done In The Street just once before, I'm pretty sure. It was in Memphis last October, but Jody Stephens played drums on it then. So tonight's performance was the first with Glenn on percussion. As in Memphis, John and Pat shared lead vocals and Jeff took lead guitar duties. It was a total audible, by the way. Not on the printed setlist. Jeff just sort of turned to Glenn after Thank Yo

  16. Wouldn't be here if wasn't for you...
  17. Totally! And then maybe after that they could play Simon and Garfunkel's "The Boxer," and then the Box Tops' "The Letter." Duuuuuuuuuude, that'd be awesome!
  18. I suspect there may have been 36 songs on the printed setlist, but we can "thank" a guy in the first row of the first balcony for yelling out for Box Full of Letters all night. Jeff poked some fun at him during the show, but the band finally appeased him in the first song of the encore. And perhaps there was your 37th tune. Four, actually. Don't forget Someday, Some Morning, Sometime. Just the second full-band performance ever!
  19. Wow, a total of 37 songs tonight. Didn't think we'd get that much at a seated theater show, but the band definitely gave the crowd its money's worth. Can't say it was the best crowd ever, and definitely a different vibe than the Richmond show last night. The Jesus singalong didn't go so great and Jeff apologized later in the show for (jokingly) implying earlier that many of the Strathmore attendees were old and a bunch of irrational, right-wing fanatics. But it was more fun than I expected and always a treat to hear Laminated Cat (er, Not For The Season) and a couple of Summerteeth rarities.
  20. Yeah, I guess what she was looking for was what hasn't been played by this lineup. So you guys have it right on the songs that haven't been played by this incarnation of the group, I would say. It's a few stray Mermaid Ave. songs, some B-sides and Solitaire, I think. And I certainly wouldn't mind if we got Secret of the Sea before this "Evening With..." run finishes up. It was one of my requests at Jeff's recent Vic solo shows!
  21. Hey Jeff! I forgot to ask Sherri (sorry if I'm butchering the spelling) if last night's show topped Stone Temple Pilots? Fwiw, the entity known as Wilco used to do Secret of the Sea a fair amount back in the day -- I'm pretty sure that was the song they did on Letterman or one of the talk shows when Jay had on that legendary fur coat -- but it looks like not since 2000. So obviously not with the current lineup.
  22. Yeah, I meant to say that hearing Laminated Cat (er, Not For The Season) again, especially with Glenn's drumming, was fantastic. That's a song that just needs the percussion! And Ashes was stellar last night; Nels' playing was beautiful on that one. To quote a friend, "Ashes ripped." And yeah, it was the first full-band performance of Someday, Some Morning, Sometime. Mike pointed that out to me, actually. It wasn't played at the Residency.
