Oh, lord. Sounds like a tremendous show. I love the Bruce "epics" and seeing Thundercrack and Kitty's Back in the same show (though I've seen them separately before) would have been amazing. Seemed like a little bit of a shorter setlist in terms of the number of songs. I wonder how much other stuff they'll get to tonight with 19 songs of The River to perform. I'm subscribing to "the second night's always better than the first" rule of a two-night stand, so here's hoping!

Yeah, definitely. Had to go up to Boston since I couldn't make either of the NYC MOF shows. Had already bought tix for Bruce on Sunday. It all worked out well, as it turned out. Of course sorry I'll miss you, but enjoy both shows and we can rehash afterward. Here's to a great weekend! And Evonne, good to know about the curtain. Probably a part of the production requirements. The dramatic effect it kind of adds is too good for it just to be a one-time thing.

nope, i can't make it to either of the shows in NYC (traveling to a wedding on nov. 6; springsteen at the garden ("the river" show!) on nov. 8) so i caught them last night at the orpheum in beantown. we didn't get any costumes, of course, but damn, they played a long time! a total of 36 songs over about 2 hours and 50 minutes. loved that their intro music was william devaughn's "be thankful for what you got." and i agree with you, evonne, that "his master's voice" was a neat closer. not sure if this was possible at other shows, but the orpheum has one of those old-fashioned curtains that com

Really nice space you guys have -- the Uncle Tupelo handbill in the restroom foyer is a nice touch (as are, of course, the Wilco posters in the main space). Hey bobbob, did you read my post? Honestly, I feel pretty good saying this on behalf of Jeff that he could care less that she was drinking out of a flask. He was not, I REPEAT NOT, judging her for drinking out of a flask or otherwise! But he was letting her know that she was flaunting the rules, first by videotaping and then by using the flask, and that he could very well see it!

I just have to say that this thread (not to mention some of the other ones in Just A Fan) is getting a bit ridiculous. I can't believe that people are focusing on this sort of stuff rather than the music at this show.
