  1. Rock Plaza Central - "My Children, Be Joyful" Add to My Profile | More Videos I love this. Learnt last week that Nanalan, the kid's show that is home to these characters, is no longer on the air. 'Hopefully you haven't forgotten the crisp cold taste of garden hose water or the mind-boggling excitement of giving a nut to a chipmunk'
  2. Cha Cha!!! Again thanks! Now to start that favourite embedded videos thread!
  3. Kyle - 1st thank you! 2nd - the list box with the HTML OFF in the options group is just not there.
  4. I think that's where I'm hitting the limit to what I'm allowed to do. I don't seem to get an HTML option, only the ability to switch back and forth between viewing the post as HTML and not. No biggy.
  5. Cool, just testing out the Divshare streamer http://www.divshare.com/download/2937797-845 Can't seem to get it to imbed, but that's just me...

  7. Cool. Hope you're enjoying it. Y'know who is the master of the Christmas Mix? Mr Twisted (tinsel, and ornament festoned) Acres. I got some of his mixes last year and had the Ipod loaded up for a Christmas playlist that lastest for days. I swear that none of Martin's choices would ever be heard over a Mall soundsystem. He's like the Rachel Nagy of Christmas Music, dredging up unheard yuletide hits from 1955.
  8. Yeah - I think it is time to call in some favours and bug the welsh limey for some anti-RIAA activity.
  9. they are an old Aussie-proto-surf-punk band. I believe one of their songs even graced a recent Nissan commercial. Lead singer is a Doctor/ex-Navy jet pilot and had his 'Iceman' nickname stolen by the Top Gun writers. I'm not lying. This is looked upon as a Punk Classic:
  10. What are crowds like at Euro W-than concerts? I don't know why but seeing them here is a very crowded sing along. And I mean everyone knows Virtue from Virtute and every single line to every song. It is not all that much fun anymore. My vote, if I had voted, would have been to also be see Samson.
  11. I'm not too familiar with his stuff, but this seems to reinforce my listening to much the same style of tough-Garage-y-drinking-music. and umm, your search has been aided so to speak.
  12. Yeah Matt - it is - released in May or so. Had not heard it before and I really like it.
  13. The words I thought I brought I left behind So never mind
  14. The Deadly Snakes - By Morning It's Gone There's no danger in your stable and I know that some good's come to pass. If you should want for something better, when you know, when you know there's nothing you could ask. That I would not give over gladly. I would share with you everything I own You take me over and by morning, I wake to find it's gone. Now if I fall beneath your virtue as you may live now far above your needs. It's for you to stay in on my foundation, all of my plan is on my self-receipt. Into the pits of my own longing and in them everything is wrong. You take me over an
  15. I snuck into Trin-St Pauls last Thursday for a taping of Fuse. For those not familiar with Fuse, it's a CBC show that puts 2 different performers on a stage and asks them to meld. Last Thursday Rock Plaza Central did this with Tafelmusik in one gigantic face off. If you are lucky enough to be Canadian, or have Siruis Radio, you can listen on Dec 8th The next night was a small club performance with RPC opening for Cuff the Duke. My god, if you can, see this band. Performances were incredible with crazed drumming, rapid accordian playing and twin trumpets lopping off the wings of

  17. The Acorn's Glory Hope Mountain, is getting all kind of (deserved) critical praise up here, and not just from me and Kalle. This latest article is taken from the Globe, the national equivalent of the NYtimes and I can only hope the love of this cd spreads south. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/sto...ertainment/home The Acorn doesn't fall far from the tree BRAD WHEELER From Saturday's Globe and Mail November 23, 2007 at 9:13 PM EST It's not unusual for a mother to tell her only son fairy tales. But when the son is a young man, and when the stories are true, things get mor
  18. Strange. The UK tour's over now too. I always hate it when talented bands play to 17 people on a Sunday night when a tiny bit more promotion could have filled the rooms or at least generated some recognition. ah well.
  19. Saw them last night and seeing them again tonight. Can't say I've done a two night stint in different locations since following the whole Pantera/Sepultura tour in '87. Good times, good times. Be Joyful My children be joyful Be joyful
