  1. People keep bringing up the bolded. I'll tell you what happens 99.999% of the time someone sticks his fingers in another player's mouth: nothing. Facewashing happens after just about every play when players are tied up on the boards. Fingers get stuck in eyes, ears, noses and yes, mouths, and for the vast majority of cases, nobody gets bitten because it's not accepted behavior. Burrows had his hands all over Bergeron's face, too. Bergeron didn't bite Burrows's fingers. Bergeron wasn't being friendly with Burrows, but he didn't act outside of accepted hockey norms. Burrows did.
  2. Yeah, the Sedins are pretty well known around the NHL as floppers. They fall all the time after incidental/light contact, trying to draw penalties. They really should be playing soccer. The funny thing is, Sedin initiated contact on that play, if it's the play I'm thinking of.
  3. My parents had moved out of the house we lived in when I graduated high school by the end of my first semester at college.

  5. I hope Rome gets to enjoy watching the rest of the Finals on TV as well.
  6. He left his feet at speed and raised his elbow into the jaw of a player looking the other way, seconds after he passed the puck. No doubt Horton should have been looking in front of him, but that was an inexcusable hit by Rome. Interested to see if he'll have anything to say about it.
  7. That was a horrifically dirty hit. What a fucking bunch of thugs. Rome should not be allowed to play again until Horton is back on the ice. Jesus.
  8. Right, because one guy did one thing, Burrows shouldn't have been suspended. He bit someone, which is something you don't do in hockey. There's nothing "class act" about biting someone and getting out of being punished for it. And again: I'm not a Bruins fan. Peverley's slash was at least provoked, though.
  9. The NHL should be ashamed that Burrows was in the game and allowed to have as much of an impact on the game as he did today. Black eye for the league.
  10. I should have said, "The Cowboy Poet put his finger in my mouth."
  11. I didn't call Burrows a hair pulling fairy, and I'm not trying to make anyone a villain. I did reference one incident in last night's game which I thought was worthy of discussion. I'm also not a Bruins fan, and I thought most of last night's game was great. Would have preferred the winning goal to have been scored on a play that wasn't offside, though.
  12. There is no question that Burrows bit Bergeron's finger, whether he put it in Burrows's mouth or not. If you've seen the video and don't think Burrows bit him, either you're a hopeless Vancouver homer or you've been lobotomized. The NHL didn't say he didn't bite, they said "After reviewing the incident including speaking with the on-ice officials, I can find no conclusive evidence that Alex Burrows intentionally bit the finger of Patrice Bergeron," which means "Yeah, he bit him, but it's not enough for us to suspend him in the playoffs."
  13. I'm gonna guess it's because the Canucks beat the Blackhawks. And because they're a bunch of biting bitches.
  14. Bono's band has had the same lineup for almost 35 years.
  15. From what I know about Lagunitas, they are an environmentally conscious brewer who appreciates good music and, oh yeah, makes some pretty tasty beer. What's the problem with them being a partner at Solid Sound?
  16. I am in ah of your mental process.
  17. I wonder if Tanya Donnelly screwed up her back/hips doing the same dance during every single concert and music video she ever did?
  18. There ain't much in the New Testament in favor of killing people either.
