  1. He asks because he is insecure about his musical tastes and is hoping someone will say it's cheesy so he can get his feelings hurt.
  2. Figure out how to put this thread in the right forum.
  3. That he is playing well in his mid-30s is to be praised, but it is in fact inconsequential to whether or not he is the most valuable player in the league.
  4. We are members and renew in the spring. I think the last member gift we got was reusable grocery bags. Not very exciting, but they get a lot of use.
  5. Or let us sit, if that is what we prefer to do.
  6. Here's what you do: when you feel like standing, stand. When you feel like sitting, sit. If you are sitting and you can't see (and this is a problem for you), stand or politely ask the person in front of you if he wouldn't mind sitting or moving to the side so you can see. If the number of people standing in front of you makes this impractical, stand or accept that you will not be able to see until you stand or the people in front of you sit. If you are standing and someone behind you asks you to sit or move to the side so they can see, either sit, move or explain to the person behind you that
  7. I don't disagree with the decision - Umm... was (rightly) set up to segregate an explosion of retardedness which had infiltrated TTL several years ago, and which has since largely disappeared - but a heads up would have been nice.
  8. I'm not sure what facts we might find in the few seconds of video prior to the spraying could convince me that the police were justified in spraying capsaicin into the faces of protestors seated on the ground with their arms locked together. And I'm not sure what relevance there is to the fact that they were warned that they would be sprayed. What if the cops had warned them that they would be shot with rubber bullets or a water cannon?
  9. The point is not that they were not warned. The point is, pepper spray, which has the potential to be lethal, is not appropriate for use in this situation, as there was no need to subdue the protestors. The cops did not use pepper spray for their safety, they used it for their convenience. I find that abhorrent.
  10. I don't give a fuck what they were doing. If they were not an immediate threat to the police, they should not have been pepper sprayed. Police should not be empowered to use pepper spray to make it more convenient to pry apart nonviolent protestors engaged in civil disobedience. That video is clear evidence of police brutality and I hope everyone involved in the execution of that operation feels the consequences.
  11. Actually, if you're being technical it's Georgios (transliteration from Greek letters to Roman) or George, which is his birth name, as he is from St. Paul, Minnesota.
  12. I wasn't saying you were trying to be snarky. I was saying it is incorrect to suggest that Family Circus is even mildly amusing.
  13. Bil Keane seems to have been a genuinely nice guy. He seems to have had a lot in common with my grandfather and I'm sure I would have liked him a lot had I known him. RIP. It's not snark, however, to say that he wrote a mildly amusing comic strip - it's an out and out lie. I'm not sure I laughed or even chuckled unironically at a Family Circus panel since Billy (or maybe Jeffy. I think it was Jeffy) referred to the final game of some sports season as the "champion chip" back when I was about 7. Hoo boy did I laugh at that one.
  14. So you were so frightened of the prospect of having Sarah Palin one arrhythmia away from the presidency of the united states that you evacuated your bowels?
  15. That is a good lookin dude right there.
  16. Don't tell me what to do, Mr. Dickley.
  17. Of course she's right about it. She dates TONS of douchey guys.
