  1. If by ridiculous you mean awesome, then yeah.
  2. I'll grant that I'm probably smarter than you, but keep in mind that we're both posting in a thread about a bad haircut Jeff Tweedy had ten years ago.
  3. Well, there was definitely some friction between them at that point, and I'm sure he would have preferred to play on of "his" songs from MAII, so that may explain his aloofness, but it would have been silly for them to promote MAII on Letterman without him...
  4. I would imagine he was there because it was a Billy Bragg and Wilco song, and not a Wilco song.
  5. The beer is named after Wilco. I thought it was ok, but nothing special.
  6. Perhaps the guy who lifted him up and saw the blood could have called the police to report that there was an unconscious dude bleeding on the sidewalk?
  7. When people miss the punchline that is spoon fed to them. The correct answer is, "well we don't need to discuss that now, do we?"
  8. How is it possible that these are concurrent and not sequential?
  9. I'll put a little more stock in your second statement if it's still true after the All Star break.
  10. I ask every customer who comes to my line at the wine store if they found everything they were looking for. Obviously, it's a little more difficult to find a specific Barolo than a box of Captain Crunch, but it's often a pretty useful question. Lots of people are too timid to ask if they can't find something, and being able to determine what they wanted to find, but couldn't, is good customer service.
  11. When people say they could care less when they mean they couldn't care less.
  12. I understand (thus, "I understand the situation you are describing ) and rode my bike often on bike paths in Rhode Island that had a lot of foot traffic. They were nice because they were painted with icons showing the proper direction of both foot and bike traffic (i.e., walk left, bike right, like on the road). People from both sides often failed to heed the rules, of course, but we generally got along pretty well. When I was out on the path for exercise, I liked to push fairly hard, and it was a pet peeve of mine when I had to break my rhythm to detour around a group of walkers spread out ov
  13. I understand the situation you're describing, and not to be too snarky or anything, but you know there's a reason they call it a bike path, right?
  14. You can buy them at Craftland, downtown.
  15. I had the same thought(s) about the Redskins' new acquisitions. After having listened briefly to the LaVar Arrington show today, I'm feeling a little better about it, since the left side of the O line is better than the right, and since McNabb is a righty, his blind side is covered, and they just have to shore up the front side, which is much easier. I really, really, really wish the Redskins would quit giving up draft picks, though.
  16. I will be there with my wife.
  17. He did say there's no video of either slur or of Emmanuel Cleaver being spit on. There is video of the spitting. Doesn't look like it was intentional, but I'd be pissed too. here it is
  18. I think you know the answer to that.
  19. I happened across that bit of information while banging around Wikipedia a couple weeks ago and checking the list of the world's richest people.
