parisisstale
no one likes a gloater. Seriously, he's got no range left, he should have let ARod play short, and Tejada and Young are no-brainers over him. Stats are everything, intangibles mean nothing. I learned all this here.
MrRain422
Actually, his range has improved over the years. Early on his fielding was horrible, now it's adaquate.

parisisstale
Actually, I've gone from being a Jeter Hater (a Jater?) to grudging admiration. The same thing happened to me with Manny. That guy is simply an amazing hitter.
darkstar
Sad, Sad, Sad, Sad........ Fucking New York just swept. I can't fathom that. You gotta go back almost 30 years to the Original Boston Massacre back in 78.  Obviously the bull pen collapsed (has been most of this season) but damn. Wells pitched great ( 8 plus innings) today but bring in Foulke and what does he do? Fires a wild pitch that gives the Yankees a 2-0 lead. I'll go to the end of the season with the boys, but it looks like it's time to stick a fork in it. Jesus, if it was anyone else but New York........... bobbob1313
Jesus, if it was anyone else but New York...........  Well, wasn't it just the Royals too?  Ah, I love seeing the struggles of the Red Sox. If only the Yankees were struggling too.  I think the Marlins forget how to field when i attend their games. They must have 30 errors in the 15 games I've been to this season. Duck-Billed Catechist
I object to the result of todays Sox-Tigers game, based on the grey camo shirt visible above the collar of Todd Jones' jersey. That's got to be some uniform violation, right?
MrRain422
If that gets Jones removed for the closers role in favor of Zumaya well then...well, I still won't object to the result of the game, but hey, let's get Jones out of there.
Sir Stewart
Mike Timlin wears camo under his uniform sometimes, too. (Insert here witty comment about Timlin's play as of late and his need to wear camo around Beantown)
bobbob1313
"If we played National League teams, the Central Division, we might win 150 games in that league," Guillen said. "They think I cheat? The American League Central? That's baseball right here. Go hard one after another. "I don't know about the other [National League] divisions, but the Central? Oh, please. We went to Cincinnati, and what's his name, [Aaron] Harang? That's the best guy we faced.     "You look at our Nos. 3, 4 and 5 hitters, they are the best in baseball. If we're cheating, how come we don't help Brian Anderson or [Juan] Uribe? If we're going to cheat, we're not just going to cheat for a few guys. Why is Brian Anderson having such a hard time to perform?     Oh, Ozzie. You so smart.

c53x12
The Yankees are heading to a 3-game series with the Mariners. The Red Sox are playing the Angels. Is there any reason to think that New York's lead over Boston won't be at least 8-1/2 by Friday?
