solace
holy shit this is absolutely AWFUL i mean the first one, while i'm not a fan and it was a bit lame/cheesy, was at least really catchy and somewhat fun... this one.... wow there's a pretty young local Minneapolis band, White Light Riot, who sound a bit like The Killers sometimes, who's EP totally blows this away: http://www.whitelightriot.com/index2.html
mpolak21
I think it might be time for the Flaming Lips to bring Ronald Jones (who plays on and co-produced this record) back. --Mike Edited September 29, 2006 by mpolak21
Guest Rufer
Maybe the metalhead in me isn't all that reformed. Pretty much kicks ass.
Chendizzle
Gearing up for tonight I saw them open for Gnarls...I felt like I was at a Limp Bizkit concert.
Chendizzle
I find it fun, mindless pop. I agree with whoever said it gets the foot tappin'. I think When You Were Young is the best song, but For Reasons Unknown is pretty cool too.

Big Perm
Heard excerpts of that and it was indeed amazing. Me - Still that Hold Steady rekurdthere's one jukebox in town that has them in there, we listened to most of it last night. great stuff.
Chendizzle
Don't really get that comparison.......I'm really excited though. Well I really had no idea who Mike Patton was before the concert, and the rapping over the power chords and stuff just didn't do it for me. I thought Razhel was really cool tho. lizish
there's one jukebox in town that has them in there, we listened to most of it last night. great stuff. Someone was saying that parts of it (with I guess all kinds of other stuff) ended up on DJ Shadow's Entroducing neeto. me didn't like Action Pact or PrettyTogether much, but this new one is 'non-sucky' Sloan. lizish
Oh shit, this is a major label release on Lost Highway and it looks like it got all kinds of ARIA award nominations and a big push from universal. It's like one of your personal best kept musical secrets going all James Blunt. damn, if all this publicity works, no chance of seeing this guy in small clubs anymore.
