Gobias Industries
Official The Game thread...it deserves it. i predict 27-27 OSU.
M. (hristine
My mother will have my head, but I say Wolverines get one for the Gipper. You mean Bo died the weekend of the big game? Damn.
Moltisanti
Corso just picked Michigan. They must have tons of extra security for him today. As much as I'd like to root for Michigan, the best-case scenario today for the Gators is Ohio State winning in a blow-out. A narrow win today by UM almost gaurantees a rematch. Reni
I haven't watched a college football game since I was a kid and lived with my dad - so that is at least 20 years ago......so, needless to say I could personally give a crap about who wins. But, for my dear pal Rocky's (MrRain422) sake I hope Michigan obliterate OSU!!
M. (hristine
My 70 year old dad just called from Florida. He wanted to tell me he just got back from the grocery, and he's making chicken wings with bleu cheese dressing, veggies and copious gin and tonics for the game. "Game of the century, Chrissy! You gotta watch it!" Love that man.
mountain bed
2 hours before kickoff & you KNOW there's probably close to 100,000 people in a parking lot,a huge number of those being completely drunk off their asses.I hope they remember there's actually a game worth watching today. Reni
Rocky and I are going to the Crispin Glover thing tomorrow - we talked about going today, since I will be down in the city for a class, but he said he would likely be too drunk and passed out by 7pm. I think he said they were starting at 10:30am at the bar to get a good seat and start drinking.....ouuuch.

chisoxjtrain
lets go michigan!!!! my dream championship would be notre dame vs michigan in a re-match...you never knoe it could happen. notre dame just has to beat usc and florida has to lose to arkansas. bobbob1313
Really? An entire thread? The College Football thread was already basically an OSU-Michigan thread. Can we just keep it there?
bobbob1313
Did they just pick the worst announcers they could for this game? I'm so bored. Did he just say Troy Smith is going to have to engineer another 4th quarter comeback because they are down 7-0 with 12 and a half minutes left in the 1st?
anodyne
OSU is retarded for football. i'm glad i don't own property near the campus. once the bucks win, it'll be really stupid. "we won, let's burn some shit down!"

This is just one of the many reasons I fucking hate Brent Musburger. It's not that the Blue aren't looking so good ... it's that OSU is looking that much better. Glad to get that second U-M touchdown, though -- there's some hope yet.
OOO
nice game, guys
parisisstale
Definitely a great game, and Michigan definitely has a chance for the rematch (go Cal). But I'm already sick of all the "best game ever" talk. Holtz just said it was the best game he can ever remember seeing (Of course, he probably can't remember more than 2 weeks ago). No doubt they're the two best teams, though. Go Cal !!!! Go RU !!!!
cryptique
Poor Shawn Crable. He's been one of the best players on Michigan's defense this year, really becoming something of a breakout star -- but people will probably remember him best for that boneheaded, incredibly stupid helmet-to-helmet hit on Troy Smith as he was going out of bounds, which kept the final OSU touchdown drive alive. Hopefully he'll end up having a successful NFL career and can get past that. That's not to say I've completely forgiven him for making the dumbest mistake of the whole game. MrRain422
IOkay, so i got up at 6:45 so we could be to Duffy's by 7:15. by then al lthe tables were gone, but they were still allowing people in to stand. we didn't want to stand for 7 hours befpore the game even started so we tried mad river, which is the other michgian bar. mad river wasn't open yet, and there was bout 50 people in line ahead of us. we should have had no trouble, but people kept cutting. so by the time they opened, we got in, but couldn't get a table. so we went to hte lion head which si where we uisually watch. much more neutral, but cheaper and still fun. we werer there a long time tonight and i'm a little tipsy. anyway, those are definately the 2 best teams in teh country. OSU is the best, i can respect that. but we put up a good fight. i twas exciting. of course i'm disappinted, but hey, it was in columbus and we only lost by 3. if the bcs is really pitting the 2 best teams agains each other, then there should definatley be rematch. but a few years ago when oklahoma got to play for the championshiop after losing their conference championsihp, i was very vocal about how they should not get a chance to wint eh national championshiop if they can't even win their conference. so i will nto be hypocritical. we lose the conference, we don't get to win the national champinsiop. it is fair. i am sad, but resigned to it. anyway, congrats buckeyes. and thank you kate for rooting for the wolverines for me! i will see you tomorrow. good times. H-Bomb Henry
Troy Smith will have a a great career after college As an insurance salesman or P.E. teacher. He's definitely at the peak of his career salary wise.

mountain bed
For all the talk about Bo & Woody, the fact remains that there were more points scored today than in any 3 of the classic games of the 10 year war.Much more fun to watch than the '3-yards-and-a-cloud-of-dust' years. For real.
