Wendy
Okay. This evening I proclaim myself to be officially ... over it. I'm over being disappointed on the late delivery. It's only a frickin record. I'm okay that there was some sort of snafu and I am one of those people who is still waiting. To be completely honest with myself, if I really really did care so much that it would arrive on the day of official release, I would have dropped the bucks for UPS. And I thought about it at the time, but I didn't think it was necessary. And I still can run out and buy a copy locally. But that seems so obsessive when I've got 3 copies of it (vinyl, CD, and CD/DVD) coming. And in the big picture, I'd rather spend my money on a different record, or a live show, or a book, than to buy a 4th copy. Because seriously, it's not like the record is going to self-destruct or evaporate if I don't listen to it on the day it drops. It's going to arrive eventually, and I'll put it aside until I can get into the mood again. Right now I am much MUCH more excited about seeing some live music (Califone !!! and Arcade Fire !!!) this weekend instead of sitting at home with my headphones on trying to absorb the new Wilco album. There will be time for that soon enough. Onward.
purplestallion
Still haven't received my vinly preorder either, but on the plus side, I ordered YHF on vinyl from them back in the day. After it was a no show for 3 weeks I sent an email and they shipped out a new copy. I received the new one quickly and then randomly much later, the first copy I ordered showed up. Two for the price of one isn't a bad deal. I gifted it to my roommate and called it a day. Could be the same thing happens here. I wouldn't complain too much. Anyway, I have the leaked stuff so a little wait doesn't do much harm.

The Funeral and Neon Bible have been getting me through this week. Although last night i stayed up late and spun AGIB in it's entirety... yes i did listen to the 18 min of drone that is the hidden beauty of "Less Than You Think" for the first time. I did so to try and sooth my disappointment of not having SBS yet. The drone sure sounds better late night on a turntable than i ever remember it sounding before. Wendy
Today was a good mail day. I received: 1. SBS shipment, all correct. 2. My 2 pit tickets for the Cinci Wilco show! 3. New Paste magazine (no JT article, but SBS 4/5 stars and long review) -- Parker Posey on cover -- disc with a new Ryan Adams song. "Everybody Knows" (it's so-so on first spin)
quarter23cd
Mine's not here yet. I guess its mildly annoying, but its really not impacting me too much yet. I've "had" the album forever and haven't really had the urge to listen to it this week, anyway, so its not killing me. Just wondering where it is. Also, about the confirmation emails--did those only go out to the express-delivery people? I got nothing of the sort, but wouldn't really expect it since I don't have a tracking number or anything. I did the normal shipping and I received an email on Saturday and still have not received mine yet. No tracking number or anything like that.
Guest Rufer
I got the confirmation email Friday for the regular old shipping and haven't received mine either. No, I'm not super-upset or anything but it has convinced me never to pre-order again.

quarter23cd
Hmm. The fact that everyone but me got confirmation emails is a little suspicious. I think I'll go check to see if my credit card has been charged...
Derek Phillips
No shipping confirmation email, no delivery yet. Ugh.
Dreamin'
My two experiences with Musictoday (ha!) were enough to convince me to avoid them this time. Once, my stuff arrived smashed up and/or missing (I think the lazy sled dogs at Canada Post used it as a chew toy), and the Sunken Treasure DVD that I preordered arrived weeks after the release date*. To add insult to injury, I paid a ridiculous amount for shipping because it was an "international" order. (Sorry, I know this isn't helpful to those of you who are still waiting.) From now on, it's Amazon, my local indie, or merch table only. *Edit: To be fair, they did say that "international" orders would take a bit longer to arrive.

Thank goodness someone pointed me to this thread because, like a lot of people, I got the confirmation email a week ago and there's still no sign of the CD/DVD/shirt (and my mail has already arrived today). Grrr...
zach5277
No CD/DVD combo here yet either, and I got the confirmation e-mail last friday. A band as good as Wilco shouldn't be dealing with a company as unreliable as Musictoday. I won't be pre-ordering from them again.
gueringray
Wilco - please stop using MusicToday!!! My vinyl arrived improperly packaged and (no surprise when I saw the huge box it came in) with the outer sleeve all damaged (split on the top spine, dinged and damaged on the corners). I called these bums and they informed me I could mail it back but they were all out of copies so it would be an indefinite wait. I have decided to keep this copy to listen to (sounds GREAT btw) and order another from somewhere else. If I had a good local shop I would go there, but seeing as I'm 1.5 hrs from a good grocery store, vinyl shops are harder to come by. I am a long time fan with at least 2 copies of each album, many on vinyl, not to mention T Shirts, Posters, etc. This has caused me to not want to buy from MusicToday ever again.... Please break ties with this poorly managed company, and work with someone else who will cater to ALL of your fan base. What good is it to produce this amazing record on vinyl if the company shipping it out doesn't even take care of the records?? PLEASE MOVE ON!!
steveNJ
I had the same experience with the vinyl copy. It arrived yesterday, and the sleeve was extremely damaged, every corner as well as the seem was bent. Luckily the vinyl was not harmed. I emailed, but have not received a reply yet. I guess brick and mortar stores still serve a purpose for something.....
Guest Jules
My pre-order arrived perfectly on time with everything in tact. I guess I was a lucky one.
lost highway
I GOT IT!!!!!! I Love music today, and I will never use their services again.
isadorah
My vinyl has arrived! it came in 99% good shape. one corner dinged. not bad. such a precious thing to hold. would i be a complete dork to frame the liner notes??

awatt
Arrived today. Life is good, for the moment. DVD viewing this evening. I'll report back later.
theashtraysays
Nothing at my house today, and we're rapidly running out of week. It's quite sad actually. The only thing that happened quickly was chariging my Visa card. Maybe tomorrow. Either it will or it won't. Hey, that's kinda catchy...
Tweedys_Neckard
Same here, still no vinyl, got the email about a week ago, good thing I went out and bought the cd/dvd or i would really be going nuts
Guest Rufer
Don't worry, it arrived today. It was in fact postmarked on Saturday which makes the Friday confirmation believable.
Twisted Acres
Vinyl arrived yesterday, corners a bit dinged up (but the box wasn't, so I guess they bounce-pass them to each other when preparing shipments), and I promptly threw it into a frame. I'll play it when I get a record player!
