aricandover
In doing so, he kicked off a buzz that propelled Wilco from theatres to stadiums. I must've missed that.
Calexico
He does not like The Police, but he like that crap. Stwike him centuwion! Vewy Woughly!
Preferred B
I think people are overlooking the fact that Jeff says he's taught himself to play "Dancing Queen" on the acoustic guitar. Helloooo new solo show request.
Analogman
Stwike him centuwion! Vewy Woughly! Sorry, I didn't listen to that sort of music when I was 11, and I still do not now. I know they were/are popular the world over - but to me it is just over produced pop music. Keith Richards had some good things say about this sort of thing in the RS anniversary issue. I meant stwike Tweedy. Abba are/were shit, now and then. No ironic, post modern "they were pure pop" or anything like that. They sucked balls and forever it shall be. thejokeexplained
My favorite quote of the piece... What was that quote about great art?
entropy
I'd imagine at this point, he's so sick and tired of interviewers asking the same questions, he's got a script down pat for how to respond to them. Abba is the answer to question six.
coast to coast
I meant stwike Tweedy. Abba are/were shit, now and then. No ironic, post modern "they were pure pop" or anything like that. nalafej
I wonder if Robbie Fulks taught him dancing queen? Possibly at a Letters to Santa show?

beadsman
I wonder if Robbie Fulks taught him dancing queen? Possibly at a Letters to Santa show? First time I heard Robbie play 'Dancing Queen' was the NYE 1999 show at the end of his "15 minute history of country music" thing, right @ Midnight. Glorious at the time. Here's Robbie doing it on NPR : http://www.mattmullen.net/files/Robbie%20F...20Interview.mp3
radiokills
if wilco becomes one of the most popular bands in the U.S. anytime soon, im out.
yermom
Just noticed it says "Sky Blue Sky is released by Nonesuch on Monday." I sure hope it's released to me on Monday. The anticipation is killing me....but that's half of the fun, right? P.S. I'm down with ABBA. Dancing Queen is a fine, fine song (just ask my preschooler!) but Casino Queen is pretty great....and I'm not afraid to get caught singing loudly along with Casino Queen at a stoplight. Beltmann
if wilco becomes one of the most popular bands in the U.S. anytime soon, im out.It totally sucks when an album I love, like YHF, instantly morphs into bad music the second other people start enjoying it.
