Beltmann
Arsenal FCHave you read Nick Hornby's Fever Pitch? Everything I know about Arsenal I learned from that book. (I'm not a soccer fan, but I am obsessed with that book and its defense of why sports matter.)
Reni
that is such a great book! (though both movie treatments of it are crap)
Beltmann
I kinda liked the one with Colin Firth...
Calexico
Yeah, great book and I definitely saw reflections of myself in it. I recall the movie with Colin Firth in it, although it wasn't great. What was the other adaptation of it? Oh I remember that night so well....I ended up falling to my knees in the pub when Michael Thomas scored in the last minute and spent the rest of the night drunk and with bloody jeans that had no knees. Magic!
Reni
the other version was the Americanized version with baseball instead of footy......Jimmy Fallon was in it and instead of Arsenal, it's about the Boston Red Sox....... it was pretty disappointing. I am more of a baseball fan these days - so I am not opposed to making it about baseball. It just wasn't very good.

CommerceComet
Glad to see "The Office" popping up. Wasn't the finale great? I would make a comment about the plot, but I don't want to be lambasted like the guy who talked about the Sopranos.
