Pat Sansone Appreciation Thread

For myself, I am delighted that this record is so well produced. It isn't as off the wall as YHF, but it is sonically challenging in its own, sweet way.

I don't think I would say dull. It has a bit of that 70's Topanga Canyon, singer songwriter vibe that Dawes is mining these days.

I went to a show once, and Pat read my mind that I was pissed I had to get up early and mow the lawn, so at 6:15 he showed up and mowed the lawn with a push mower so as not to wake me, bagged it all, and was gone. The man is a god.

The Autumn Defense is alright, but no more. I can't honestly say I'd pay them any mind if John and Pat weren't in Wilco.

I appreciate Pat for a lot of musical reasons, but I especially do when he's playing guitar. The Nels-Jeff-Pat three guitar version of Wilco is crazy-good and I love how they can all be heard individually, even when Jeff and Pat are doing a unison thing while Nels wails away. Handshake Drugs and Impossible Germany from the Ashes DVD are good examples of this, I think. Pat is awesome in Wilco!
