Finally found time to do this.

1. The National - Boxer (When I heard this album, I bought the entire back catalog.)

2. Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga (My love for this band has grown exponentially this year.)

3. Wilco - Sky Blue Sky (You Are My Face, Impossible Germany and Hate It Here are absolutely perfect.)

4. Radiohead - In Rainbows (Like a lot of you, I listened to it non-stop that first week.)

5. Dr. Dog - We All Belong (I bought this album because of good reviews on VC. I didn't like it at first. That opinion has changed considerably.)

A few others I think will stay with me well beyond 2007:

Andrew Bird - Armchair Apocrypha

Arcade Fire - Neon Bible

Feist - The Reminder

Josh Ritter - The Historical Conquests ...

Menomena - Friend and Foe

Modest Mouse - We Were Dead ...

Rilo Kiley - Under the Blacklight

Ryan Adams - Easy Tiger

The Shins - Wincing The Night Away

i tried to. :lol

nah, 3 really solid singles, but overall one of the bigger disappointments of '07. doesn't even touch the first 2 records for me.

Agreed. I seemed to find myself listening to this album a lot just for those few singles though. "Australia" is tits.

I'll keep it to a trim 10.

10. Modest Mouse- We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank

9. Daft Punk- Alive 2007

8. Sunset Rubdown- Random Spirit Lover

7. Wilco- Sky Blue sky

6. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah- Some Loud Thunder (I almost thought this was a 2006 release, but it squeaks in on January 29th)

5. Deerhunter- Cryptograms (Another January 29th release!)

4. Radiohead- In Rainbows

3. Le Loup- The Throne of the Third Heaven of the Nations' Millennium General Assembly (despite the obnoxiously long album title)

2. Animal Collective- Strawberry Jam

1. Panda Bear- Person Pitch (This would be #1 on a list of the last 5 years)

Obviously, I listened to alot of Animal Collective this year, I couldn't help it I just became addicted to them.

I have to say that the Bon Iver album blows me away. Thanks for bringing that album to the forefront here Solace. I don't think I'd ever come across that on my own. That was a good VC holiday present this season.

yay! :wub

the scary thing is, as much as it blew me away from August through October, i have a feeling when i get the vinyl version (the re-release is out Feb 19, vinyl dame day) and re-visit it more fully in the dead of winter, that it will sound even more amazing :music
